  • Registered American Registry of Radiologic Technologists radiologic technologist with RT-(R)(M) credentials and compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act standards for performing mammography.
  • Maintain Basic Life Support certification.
  • Demonstrate personal computer skills.
  • Demonstrate verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities
  • Operate mammography equipment, computers, and image management systems used to perform mammography examinations.
  • Determine how technique selections affect optimal image quality.
  • Follow proper procedures.
  • Assist with moving patients on and off the imaging table and push wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • Establish a self-study program to maintain current knowledge and meet continuing education requirements.
  • Read email regularly to stay informed about immediate policy, regulatory, or unit procedure changes.
  • Represent the organization positively and respectfully when dealing with customers and vendors.
  • Complete work in a timely manner and meet deadlines.
  • Enforce organizational and departmental policies without creating negative reactions.
  • Provide support and guidance to employees on new processes.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance with the Food and Drug Administration and the American College of Radiology.
