- Registered American Registry of Radiologic Technologists radiologic technologist with RT-(R)(M) credentials and compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act standards for performing mammography.
- Maintain Basic Life Support certification.
- Demonstrate personal computer skills.
- Demonstrate verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Operate mammography equipment, computers, and image management systems used to perform mammography examinations.
- Determine how technique selections affect optimal image quality.
- Follow proper procedures.
- Assist with moving patients on and off the imaging table and push wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Establish a self-study program to maintain current knowledge and meet continuing education requirements.
- Read email regularly to stay informed about immediate policy, regulatory, or unit procedure changes.
- Represent the organization positively and respectfully when dealing with customers and vendors.
- Complete work in a timely manner and meet deadlines.
- Enforce organizational and departmental policies without creating negative reactions.
- Provide support and guidance to employees on new processes.
- Oversee regulatory compliance with the Food and Drug Administration and the American College of Radiology.
