Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Romanian and English.
  • Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Engineer working across multiple products and operating at Architect level.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.
  • Proven track record delivering software across a broad mix of languages, technologies, and platforms.

  • Experience with security-driven design practices and remediation of Static Application Security Testing and Dynamic Application Security Testing findings.
  • Strong Software Development Life Cycle knowledge and experience using Confluence, Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience designing and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience architecting modern data and analytics platforms, including data warehousing, data engineering and orchestration, streaming, business intelligence and reporting, and integration platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data warehouses, data lakes and lakehouses, Extract, Transform, Load and Extract, Load, Transform, streaming, semantic modeling, and business intelligence architecture.
  • Practical experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence solution architecture, including model lifecycle, deployment patterns, and governance.
  • Demonstrable experience building or architecting Agentic AI solutions and applying AI to real business use cases.
  • Broad programming experience with in-depth skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, and C#.
  • Experience with Angular, .NET, Less/Sass, and gRPC.
  • Strong unit-testing and integration-testing discipline.
  • Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals, including refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, continuous integration, system and application design, and application security.
  • Strong experience with object-relational mapping frameworks and databases, including Microsoft SQL Server with T-SQL and MongoDB with NoSQL.
Responsibilities
  • Act as a hands-on product builder who leads by example and helps drive delivery of organizational goals.
  • Drive tactical plans to implement Product Ecosystem strategies defined by Enterprise Architects.
  • Own and shape the underlying architecture of the Product Ecosystem, ensuring that it is scalable, secure, and maintainable.
  • Maintain high engineering standards by setting good practices, habits, guardrails, and AI-assisted delivery patterns.
  • Act as the interface between Software Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, and management to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Oversee technical delivery across teams, providing guidance to Lead and Senior Software Engineers and supporting their development plans.
  • Design detailed solution architectures collaboratively with Enterprise Architects and engineers across backend and frontend projects.
  • Facilitate group collaboration and broad involvement in design and key technical decisions.
  • Review designs and technical decisions with the architecture group and provide constructive feedback.
  • Guide development techniques and methodologies, including Agile at Scale, Lean, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, Test-Driven Development, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Drive continuous improvement by proposing and implementing processes, designs, and engineering practices that improve delivery effectiveness.
  • Track progress against wider engineering goals and communicate status to engineers, Enterprise Architects, and management.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and approaches that benefit the organization.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and strategy across the Software Engineering organization.
  • Build cloud-based data and analytics solutions, including Agentic AI solutions, applying AI to real business use cases with appropriate governance and lifecycle considerations.

US employers plan 3.2% merit pay rises for 2027 amid economic uncertainty

US employers plan to maintain moderate salary increases in 2027, according to Marsh's Mercer QuickPulse survey of 1,001 organisations. Base salary merit increases are projected at 3.2%, with total salary increases at 3.5%, marking four consecutive years of similar rates. Economic uncertainty continues influencing compensation decisions, with 57% of employers expecting at least moderate impact. High Tech (3.8%), Banking (3.7%), and Energy (3.6%) lead in merit budgets, whilst Consumer Goods (2.9%) and Healthcare (3.0%) lag behind. Employers expect to promote 8.4% of their workforce in 2027, down from 8.6% in 2026. Off-cycle salary adjustments remain common, with 64% of organisations providing them. AI adoption in compensation planning is growing, with 70% of organisations reporting some automation, primarily for market pricing recommendations and benchmarking.

Marsh beats Q1 estimates with $7.6B revenue, $3.29 EPS as organic growth hits 5%

Marsh reported Q1 revenue of $7.6 billion, up 7.6% year-over-year, beating the consensus estimate of $7.38 billion by 2.88%. Earnings per share came in at $3.29, compared to $3.06 in the prior-year quarter, surpassing the consensus estimate of $3.21 by 2.46%. Key metrics showed mixed performance against analyst expectations. Consolidated organic revenue growth of 5% exceeded the 3.5% estimate, whilst consulting organic growth of 5% topped the 4.4% forecast. However, Guy Carpenter's organic growth of 2% fell short of the 4.2% estimate. Geographically, Marsh's EMEA division generated $1.21 billion in revenue, up 14.1% year-over-year and beating estimates. Mercer consulting revenue reached $1.66 billion, an 11% increase that surpassed the $1.58 billion consensus.
