Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • At least 6 years of maintenance experience is required, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Industrial electrical maintenance experience is required.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and regulatory requirements for protecting workers, the environment, and the site is required.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing facility operations, strategic issues, and operational requirements is required.
  • Knowledge of managing and maintaining physical facilities and infrastructure is required.
  • Knowledge of methods for preventing and addressing asset theft, information theft, vandalism, sabotage, and other threats to a manufacturing facility is required.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and logistics equipment used in manufacturing, including safe usage, maintenance, and storage, is required.
  • Knowledge of technologies and applications used to manufacture products and optimize manufacturing processes is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, maintenance costs, contractor-performed maintenance, regular and preventive maintenance functions for all plant equipment, new equipment installation projects, and maintenance-team timekeeping, vacation time, and scheduling.
  • Implement maintenance and engineering strategies to ensure operational reliability, maximum asset availability, and asset longevity.
  • Manage maintenance performance metrics, including work-order completion and machine reliability.
  • Support equipment feasibility studies, make investment recommendations, implement capital expenditure projects, and remain accountable for payback expectations.
  • Support Operations Leaders in developing and executing continuous-improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
  • Execute the annual financial plan and monitor performance within the planned budget.
  • Design, develop, and manage capital projects, including defining the scope of work, budget, schedule, and responsibilities.
  • Develop and execute the site's preventative-maintenance program.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to implement capital-investment projects.
  • Support stakeholders with project design and management, supplier selection, scheduling coordination, new-equipment acquisition and installation, materials acquisition, audits, and process changes.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company's work-order platform.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed safely and comply with company, local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Provide guidance on staffing, training, employee relations, and performance management for salaried and hourly production teams while working closely with direct reports.
  • Provide technical support to stakeholders and resolve equipment-reliability issues.
  • Fill in on any shift when needed because of staffing shortages, emergencies, or business-critical events.
  • Work primarily in production or warehouse settings, with additional time in an office setting.
  • Walk and stand frequently, travel occasionally, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
