About the Team
The Corporate Program Management Team at Roku ensures the success of the company’s most critical initiatives, including new business ideas, product launches, partner initiatives, organizational governance, inorganic growth initiatives and acquisitions. The team reports to the Head of Corporate Development, Strategic Partnerships, and Subscriptions business at Roku and is comprised of senior program management leaders with business acumen and technical awareness, adept at solving complex problems, creating and enhancing teams, and overseeing cross-functional initiatives.
About the Role
The Director of Subscriptions Program Management will primarily focus on our Subscriptions Business, which aims at making Roku the top destination for streaming video subscriptions. This role will work closely with our Subscriptions business and product leadership teams on various high-priority strategic and operational initiatives. Additionally, this role will be responsible for helping the business and product teams with overall goal setting, prioritization, and ensuring the team stays on track to achieve its goals.
For California Only - The estimated annual total salary for this position is between $250,000 and $400,000 annually.
Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. The ideal candidate will have a track record of strong Program Management experience that includes helping to drive complex business initiatives from concept through completion. They can manage a broad variety of programs simultaneously, work with diverse stakeholders, and contribute to the scaling and success of the Subscriptions business.
This senior leader is pragmatic, data-driven, and strategic, able to dive into program details, address business and technical issues, and provide hands-on support. They can influence leaders across various teams, gain consensus for business planning and prioritization, and establish executive-level credibility. They can prioritize effectively, meet commitments, focus on key goals, and collaborate across functions, thriving in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead multiple core teams consisting of senior leaders across the company to drive the successful ideation, planning, and execution of strategic business and product initiatives for Subscriptions business
- Lead programs within the Subscriptions team to create new business and product capabilities and improve existing ones.
- Actively own projects from end to-end perspective i.e., from hands-on involvement in strategy development and ideation, to detailed planning and execution.
- Map high-level objectives for the Subscriptions business into clear work streams for the business and product teams to execute on, ensuring that results are fed back into the planning process for continuous improvement.
- Actively collaborate with business, functional, and product leaders on budgeting, resourcing, and strategic planning initiatives. Create and maintain strategic roadmaps and work across multiple stakeholder to manage planning and prioritization.
- Manage critical decision making, anticipate and mitigate potential risks, explore and implement contingency plans, and ensure cross-functional alignment across business and product teams.
- Facilitate communications across the business organization to ensure transparency of program progress and risks, maintain plan-of-record, and provide timely updates to our executive team.
We’re excited if you have
- 10+ years senior program management role with experience that includes supporting specific business areas and leaders
- 3+ years in a media or technology company leadership
- Experience in streaming media is strongly preferred
- Consulting experience is preferred
- Ability to come up to speed quickly and contribute in a diverse set of business and product areas
- Strong track record of partnering with high-performing, cross-functional teams
- Analytical approach to driving prioritization and evaluating success
- Data driven and pragmatic with excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to present and convey key insights effectively to executive management
- Ability to engage business leaders in thoughtful debate on issues, plans, and solutions
- Flexible to changing circumstances and capacity to maintain calm in the face of uncertainty
- MS/MBA strongly preferred
