Requirements
  • Strong troubleshooting and administration experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Entra ID, multifactor authentication, InTune, and Conditional Access.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and routing.
  • Experience supporting virtualization environments such as VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with endpoint management, Windows operating systems, patch management, and security best practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting server infrastructure, storage utilization, backups, and monitoring alerts.
  • Ability to independently investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective resolutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tickets and priorities across different environments.
  • Technical documentation and communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Remediate security vulnerabilities.
  • Harden infrastructure and implement best practices.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
  • Manage Active Directory.
  • Administer and troubleshoot servers.
  • Configure firewalls and switches.
  • Support Azure and cloud platforms.
  • Perform patching, upgrades, and system maintenance.
  • Carry out technical implementations, migrations, and configuration changes.
  • Document work and implement client environment improvement initiatives.
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve technical issues, infrastructure deficiencies, vulnerabilities, and security risks across multiple client environments before they affect business operations.
  • Conduct technical health checks of client environments, identify configuration deficiencies, and align infrastructure with established technical standards and industry best practices.
  • Implement improvements to system performance, security, and reliability.
  • Identify recurring issues, implement permanent solutions where possible, and escalate risks requiring larger infrastructure changes or project work.
  • Continuously improve clients' IT environment health, security, stability, and standardization while reducing preventable support incidents.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
  • Familiarity with RMM and PSA platforms, such as ConnectWise.
  • PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
