Requirements
  • At least 4 years of experience creating and implementing broad-scale promotions and merchandising planning, multi-store buying and resets, or digital marketing and promotion program implementation.
  • Experience in retail grocery and/or natural foods is required.
  • Proven experience defining and applying merchandising best practices.
  • Experience with technology platforms including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, customer relationship management systems, project management tools, planogram tools, or equivalent platforms.
  • Ability to lead through influence by communicating benefits and value propositions, leading by example, and using a service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize time across multiple projects, logistics, relationships, and deadlines.
  • Expertise in communication, active listening, determining root causes, incorporating feedback, giving presentations, and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented, iterative mindset focused on continual improvement.
Responsibilities
  • Champion member participation in INFRA Promotional Programs, including EDLP and INFRA Deals.
  • Support INFRA operational strategies, pricing recommendations, and participation agreement requirements by helping members understand how promotions and merchandising programs align.
  • Lead in-store program onboarding and reinforce orientation elements for each member situation while in stores.
  • Partner with store employees to create and implement tangible plans based on recommendations to improve execution and impact.
  • Support or lead planning, implementation, and outcome tracking for store merchandising planograms.
  • Support or lead planning, implementation, and outcome tracking for new store setups, store resets, and store expansions or contractions.
  • Assist staff and members with merchandising best practices through training, system and documentation development, and introduction of new ideas.
  • Monitor changes in merchandising and promotional program best practices.
  • Plan and perform competitive analysis using identified data-driven and anecdotal goals.
  • Support outcomes with data and communicate program impact using member data, key performance indicators, promotion and store performance metrics, retail data, distribution data, and trend information.
  • Coach members toward store-specific solutions and communicate the value of recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the INFRA team to develop strategies and tactics that increase association-wide participation and alignment with promotions programs, including EDLP, INFRA Deals, and New Item programs.
  • Create member-specific recommendations based on participation obstacles, performance gaps or wins, competitive analysis findings, and opportunities.
  • Connect member feedback to the INFRA team, capture in-the-moment and anecdotal feedback, support formal feedback processes, and incorporate outcomes into future work.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with businesses in a consultative or professional services partnership role is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with independently owned businesses is strongly preferred.
