Requirements
  • 5+ years in product management, with real ownership of scope, roadmap, and delivery outcomes.
  • Agency or consulting experience across multiple clients or accounts, including managing client expectations and protecting scope.
  • Experience running at least two of the following: a zero-to-one greenfield build, a legacy platform rebuild or migration, and a client-facing enablement or training engagement.
  • Hands-on experience scoping, building, or shipping AI agents or agentic workflows, with an understanding of agentic versus deterministic approaches.
  • Ability to hold technical conversations about architecture, evaluations, and guardrails alongside agentic engineers.
  • Ability to explain agentic concepts to non-technical stakeholders and engineers and level up a client's team.
  • Strong client-facing presence, including presenting to vice-president-level stakeholders, handling pushback, and declining requests when warranted.
  • Strong scoping and prioritization skills, including turning a vague brief into a one-page plan and defending tradeoffs.
  • Ability to work comfortably in ambiguous environments without waiting for a fully formed specification.
Responsibilities
  • Own client engagements end-to-end from discovery and scoping through delivery, serving as the primary product voice with the client.
  • Scope and run greenfield product builds by turning zero-to-one ideas into sequenced, shippable roadmaps built agentically from day one.
  • Lead platform rebuild and modernization engagements, helping clients replatform or rebuild legacy systems while balancing technical debt against delivery speed.
  • Design and help deliver AI-native enablement with clients' product and engineering teams to build internal capability for agentic development.
  • Translate ambiguous client requests into scoped work by writing product requirements documents, defining success criteria, and sequencing delivery.
  • Partner directly with agentic engineers to distinguish deterministic workflows from true agentic use cases and select the appropriate approach.
  • Set guardrails and evaluation criteria for AI agents before they access client data or production environments.
  • Manage multiple concurrent engagements and prioritize across clients with competing timelines, budgets, and engagement types.
  • Run client steering committees, sprint reviews, and discussions when scope, timeline, or feasibility changes.
  • Report on outcomes by defining success and return on investment for each engagement type and holding the team accountable.
  • Contribute to internal playbooks for scoping agentic builds, platform rebuilds, and client enablement.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with large language model evaluation frameworks or agent observability tooling.
  • A background in a technical role such as engineering, data, or quality assurance before moving into product.
  • Experience managing engagements in regulated industries such as finance or healthcare.
  • Experience designing or delivering technical training, workshops, or enablement programs for client teams.
  • A track record of writing or speaking publicly about product or artificial intelligence topics.

TribalScale names Leo Giel to lead Financial Services AI transformation practice.

TribalScale names Leo Giel to lead Financial Services AI transformation practice. July 21, 2026 TribalScale has appointed Leo Giel as head of its Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) practice, expanding its leadership team as financial institutions accelerate investments in artificial intelligence and enterprise automation. In the new role, Giel will oversee TribalScale's strategy and growth across the financial services sector, with an emphasis on commercial real estate, multifamily housing, alternative investments, private equity, lending, and institutional asset management. The company said his focus will be helping organizations move from AI pilot projects to enterprise-scale deployments that improve operations and business performance. As AI adoption increases across financial services, institutions are looking to integrate automation into core business functions, streamline workflows, and improve decision-making while managing increasingly complex data environments. TribalScale said Giel will work with executive leadership teams to identify high-value AI use cases, modernize operating models, deploy intelligent agents, and implement technology initiatives tied to measurable business outcomes. "Artificial intelligence represents the most significant technology shift since the internet," Giel said. "The organizations that win won't simply use AI - they'll redesign how work gets done. Our mission is to help financial institutions transform AI strategy into intelligent automation, operational excellence, and sustainable competitive advantage." Giel brings more than 20 years of experience helping technology companies commercialize emerging products, expand into new markets, and build strategic partnerships. Throughout his career, he has worked with founders, chief executives, boards, and investors on growth initiatives, capital raising, and revenue expansion. TribalScale noted that he previously helped organizations capitalize on major technology shifts including mobile computing, music streaming, and connected television before turning his focus to artificial intelligence. At TribalScale, Giel will lead initiatives that help financial institutions develop enterprise AI strategies aligned with business objectives, automate operational workflows through AI agents, modernize lending and underwriting processes, enhance investment and portfolio management, and connect fragmented enterprise data into more unified decision-making platforms. "Leo has spent his career identifying technology shifts before they reshape industries," said Sheetal Jaitly, founder and CEO of TribalScale. "His ability to connect business strategy with practical AI execution makes him uniquely qualified to lead our BFSI practice. We're excited to help financial institutions unlock the next generation of growth through AI." The appointment reflects growing demand from banks, investment firms, insurers, and real estate organizations seeking to operationalize AI beyond isolated use cases. Rather than focusing solely on experimentation, many institutions are investing in technologies that can automate repetitive processes, improve customer experiences, strengthen risk management, and increase operational efficiency across enterprise functions. TribalScale partners with enterprise organizations to design and deploy AI-powered products, digital platforms, and transformation initiatives. Under Giel's leadership, the company's BFSI practice will concentrate on helping financial services organizations integrate artificial intelligence into core business operations while delivering measurable productivity gains and scalable technology infrastructure.
