About the job

Requirements

  • Five years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
  • Two years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch, such as ideation through execution or zero-to-one delivery.
  • Experience managing AI/ML, generative AI, developer platform, or enterprise data products, including LLM/agentic patterns, data foundations, and model evaluation methodologies.
Responsibilities
  • Own the product strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end execution for a core enterprise AI or data platform capability, such as agentic workflow tooling, developer SDKs, foundational data products, or automated AI evaluation frameworks.
  • Translate ambiguous business, user, and developer needs into product requirements documents, defining product capabilities, API/SDK experiences, quality benchmarks, and performance targets.

  • Partner with Data Science, Privacy, Security, and Engineering teams to define product telemetry, evaluation metrics, and built-in safety and compliance guardrails.
  • Collaborate with partner product teams to understand user pain points, prioritize the platform backlog, and drive adoption of reusable platform products across the portfolio.
  • Own a core product surface of the shared enterprise AI and data platform, delivering foundational capabilities spanning generative AI and agentic tooling, enterprise people data products, developer SDKs, and model evaluation frameworks for employee-facing applications.
  • Treat internal product and engineering teams as primary customers while keeping end-user value for Googlers central.
  • Partner with Engineering, Data Science, and UX to identify shared needs across the portfolio, ship self-serve platform capabilities, and improve product quality, reliability, and delivery velocity.
  • Guide products from conception to launch by connecting technical and business considerations, breaking down complex problems into steps that drive product development.
  • Analyze, position, package, promote, and tailor solutions to users throughout the product execution cycle.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a technology or business-related field.
  • Experience applying a Platform-as-a-Product mindset to translate developer and business needs into product requirements and roadmaps for APIs, SDKs, data products, or shared platform services.
  • Experience partnering with Data Scientists and engineers to establish data-driven product metrics, evaluation frameworks, service-level objectives, and responsible AI guardrails.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple product and engineering teams to identify common needs, advocate platform reuse, and iterate based on customer feedback.
  • Experience in organizations ensuring platform investments solve enterprise problems and deliver measurable adoption and return on investment.

About the company

Google runs the world's most used search engine and free services such as YouTube, Android, and Gmail, and it builds the Gemini AI models that work inside them. In 2017, its researchers invented the transformer, the neural network design behind ChatGPT and most other AI chatbots. People use these services without paying, and Google earns most of its money from ads placed beside search results and YouTube videos. Businesses rent computing power and Gemini models through Google Cloud, and Google also sells subscriptions and Pixel phones. Larry Page and Sergey Brin founded Google in 1998 as Stanford PhD students; it is based in Mountain View, California, United States, and is the main business of parent company Alphabet.
