- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound, vascular technology, or cardiovascular program with one year of vascular technology experience, or have five years of experience as a Registered Vascular Technologist.
- Hold Registered Vascular Technologist certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Registered Vascular Specialist certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
- Have experience with vascular ultrasound studies including carotid, aortic, renal and mesenteric vessels, lower-extremity arterial and venous studies, venous insufficiency, and upper-extremity arterial and venous studies.
- Have experience performing lower-extremity arterial studies such as ankle-brachial index and pulse volume recordings.
- Have experience with saphenous vein ablation.
- Hold Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Perform a variety of hemodynamic examinations to detect lower- and upper-extremity obstructions as directed by a physician or in response to previous test results.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
