Celemony tonalic comes to Universal Audio Luna 3.0. Plugin putting studio performances by top players into a song and reshapes them now integrated directly through ARA into the just-released Luna 3.0 DAW. Celemony announced that the Tonalic plugin, which puts studio performances by top players into a song and reshapes them, is now integrated directly through ARA (Audio Random Access) interface extension into the just-released Luna 3.0 DAW from Universal Audio. The Tonalic engine, built on Celemony's DNA technology, follows the chords, tempo and groove of the song they're dropped into. In Luna, this means a producer with a chord progression and an idea can audition a guitar part against the song while it plays, drag it onto the timeline, extend it across a section, and change the chords three weeks later with the same performance still following along. The session stays open right up to the last minute, and what plays from the first bar is a real player, recorded in a real studio. Tonalic opens from the Warp menu of an Audio Track, alongside Melodyne, and provides access to more than 30 session musicians within the editor. Performances, called Tonalics, can be browsed and auditioned in place. Dragging a Tonalic onto a track, or below the existing tracks, creates a new track and opens Tonalic ARA. Transitions, fills and endings from the same session can also be added from the Set page. "Luna began as a place to record and mix, and more and more people now write their songs in it," says Leo Waidosch, director Content & Product at Celemony. "That is exactly where Tonalic belongs. You have a chord progression and a rough idea, and what you hear are world-class musicians going along with it, following your idea while the song is still taking shape.
