Requirements
  • High school graduation and four years of related work experience, or an associate's degree and three years of related work experience, or a bachelor's degree and two years of related work experience, or a master's degree and one year of related work experience.
  • Experience in media relations in a college or university athletic environment or another related communications field.
  • A background check will be conducted for selected candidates.
  • Academic credentials may need to be verified through an official transcript.

Responsibilities
  • Write, produce, and edit media guides, game programs, and press releases, and maintain the website for assigned intercollegiate sports.
  • Identify and write stories with creative authority, including editing, graphic layout, and production.
  • Produce multimedia content for particular sports when necessary.
  • Collaborate with fan engagement, ticketing, and event operations for home and away games.
  • Travel with teams as a liaison with local, regional, and national media.
  • Coordinate and supervise press-box or press-row operations for home events.
  • Pitch stories and handle information requests from media, conference personnel, NCAA officials, and the general public.
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations.
  • Submit a resume or curriculum vitae, cover letter, and contact information for three professional references.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform job-related tasks when required as part of the hiring process.
