Requirements
  • Five or more years of experience working as an Account Executive, ideally in a fast-growing startup or larger tech company with a track record of hitting and exceeding goals.
  • You have experience running the full sales cycle, from prospecting, through proofs of concept, commercials, and initial expansion.
  • You have sold to companies around five hundred to five thousand full-time employees and can demonstrate velocity in initial landing deals and strategic expansion into other areas of the business.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
  • Experience learning new tools, processes, and industries or verticals and building things from scratch.
  • You are based in New York and comfortable commuting to the office 3-4 times per week.
  • You have a growth mindset and are constantly looking for ways to grow and learn.
  • You strive to be an expert in the product and understand customer pain points and use cases deeply.

Responsibilities
  • Evangelize Parabola and help customers see how they can automate and improve processes without an IT team or engineering skills, especially when dealing with multiple data sources and unstructured data that change frequently.
  • Source and close new business to consistently meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas.
  • Lead discovery calls with prospective customers, helping them identify meaningful initial use cases for Parabola.
  • Lead demos and manage risk-free 30-day proofs of concept for leading retail, freight, and other operationally complex businesses considering deployment across their company.
  • Share learnings from customer conversations with product, engineering, and design teams.
  • Understand the customer engagement model where typical customers have 2-5 calls in weeks and a 1-year contract with a 30-day opt-out proof of concept, and coordinate with the Launch Team to realize value within 30 days.
  • Partner with team members at varying levels in a customer organization, adapting approach from individual operators to CTO, CFO, and COO levels.
  • Build unparalleled champions within organizations who evangelize Parabola beyond the initial land and help influence broader adoption.
  • Be a magnet for cross-functional feedback where Solution Engineers, Launch Managers, product and executive sponsors support you in growing the upper mid-market and enterprise markets.
  • Be a positive example for peers and contribute to building a team that prioritizes collective success and personal accountability.
  • Contribute to building an upper mid-market and enterprise playbook that supports the current team and underpins GTM team growth.
