Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in healthcare facilities management is required, including 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Experience with Life Safety and Utilities Management documentation is required.
- Experience assisting frontline staff with best-practice solutions is required.
- Experience supervising contractors is required.
- Experience participating in project management oversight, including Infection Control during construction, is required.
Responsibilities
- Manage one or more functional areas within the Engineering Department.
- Manage two or more professional and support staff, including subordinate supervisors.
- Evaluate and improve department processes while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage initiatives, strategic priorities, and programs that affect the organization.
- Work independently and with leadership to support the budget process and meet key operational goals.
- Plan, organize, facilitate, monitor, and evaluate department or functional-area activities based on employee and organizational goals.
- Collaborate with leaders to establish operating procedures, enhance clinical and non-clinical workflows, increase productivity, and improve quality outcomes and operational efficiencies.
- Assist the Director with day-to-day department operations and assume responsibility for the department in the Director's absence.
- Provide engineering support for the Pee Dee Division, including Florence, Marion, and Black River/Cades, South Carolina.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with The Joint Commission, Department of Health and Environmental Control, and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services survey processes.
