  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, corporate development, investment banking, or private equity, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.
Responsibilities
  • Lead workstreams across mergers and acquisitions engagements, including deal framing, target screening, due diligence, integration planning, joint venture development, carve-out, and divestiture planning.
  • Apply rigorous analysis to identify, quantify, and validate value creation opportunities, translating findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Lead and inspire teams of strategy consultants, ensuring delivery excellence and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members to grow their mergers and acquisitions expertise and consulting capabilities.
  • Foster collaboration across cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Contribute to Accenture’s mergers and acquisitions thought leadership agenda through insights, articles, and market perspectives.
  • Support go-to-market initiatives and pipeline pursuits, including opportunity identification, proposal development, and client presentations.
  • Leverage generative artificial intelligence tools to accelerate mergers and acquisitions value realization, from market scans to integration planning.
  • Support the design and adoption of artificial-intelligence-augmented frameworks, playbooks, and performance measurement tools to strengthen and future-proof mergers and acquisitions execution.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MBA or advanced degree in strategy, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with synergy modeling, transaction cost analysis, and value capture planning.
  • Exposure to artificial intelligence or generative artificial intelligence tools and their application in strategic or mergers and acquisitions contexts.
  • Technology or information technology mergers and acquisitions functional experience, such as information technology due diligence, integration or separation planning, information technology transition service agreement design, application portfolio rationalization, enterprise resource planning carve-outs, cybersecurity risk assessment, and information technology cost and synergy modeling.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills, including financial analysis, competitive intelligence, and market analysis.
  • Proven mergers and acquisitions lifecycle experience across strategy, diligence, integration or separation, carve-outs, and synergy planning.
  • Experience leading workstreams and contributing to client relationship development.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and executive presence skills, with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with multiple priorities.
  • Experience collaborating across deal ecosystems, including bankers, legal advisors, target leadership, and operational executives.
  • Sector expertise in relevant industries, such as technology, energy, consumer, or industrials.

Accenture shares down 27%, but 11.5% yield available through put options at 35% discount

Accenture trades 37% below its 52-week high after falling 27% over the past year. In fiscal Q3 2026, new bookings declined and some managed services deals slipped into fiscal 2027. The company generated $73.1 billion in revenue over the past twelve months, with operating margins widening to 17% in Q3. Managed services revenue grew 5% in local currency. In the first nine months of fiscal 2026, clients made 104 quarterly bookings exceeding $100 million, up 13% year-on-year. Consulting revenue grew just 1% in local currency in Q3. Management attributes the slowdown to the Middle East conflict affecting regional and discretionary spending. The CEO acknowledged that client budgets have not been growing, with spending simply being redirected rather than increased.

Accenture appoints Emma Chalwin as chief marketing officer

Accenture has appointed Emma Chalwin as Chief Marketing Officer, effective 1 October 2026. She will oversee global marketing and communications, reporting to Chair and CEO Julie Sweet. Chalwin joins from Workday, where she served as CMO.
