Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, or applicable equivalent experience.
  • Three years of direct project controls experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Extensive experience scheduling in Primavera P6.
  • Knowledge of electrical transmission and distribution industry projects, including transmission lines, substations, and distribution lines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on a team.
  • Ability to host meetings and obtain information from stakeholders to update schedules.
  • Ability to manage a large volume of project schedules simultaneously.
Responsibilities
  • Lead project controls processes with the internal project management team to execute project deliverables within budget and schedule.
  • Set up projects in Enterprise Planning & Controls software.
  • Analyze data, review logs, and run reports in Enterprise Planning & Controls software or other tools.
  • Create work breakdown structures.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts for multiple projects.
  • Follow project execution plans.
  • Perform engineering, procurement, and construction planning, scheduling, logistics, and cost control.
  • Serve as a point of contact for technical questions from the project team.
  • Approve purchase orders and subcontracts for proper coding.
  • Input and document changes to cost reports or forecasts.
  • Interface with the project management team and accounting department to review project costs and contingency costs and support external audits.
  • Review upstream prime-contract and downstream purchase-order and subcontract change orders.
  • Develop and present cash flow reports.
  • Develop various levels of schedules.
  • Apply and review logic ties within schedules.
  • Monitor resource loading of schedules.
  • Support Interactive Project Planning Meetings.
  • Create schedule reports and determine the appropriate reporting format.
  • Develop, review, and analyze pre-programmed project scheduling reports and backup documentation for accuracy.
  • Consult with the project team on schedule progress.
  • Analyze and evaluate schedule management using critical path method scheduling techniques, estimating, project cost management, and forecasting.
  • Perform schedule what-if scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain an earned value management system.
  • Input and validate progress measurement.
  • Develop and maintain progress curves.
  • Perform material takeoffs.
  • Perform quality checks and inspections on project-controls deliverables.
  • Perform field audits to validate reporting and process accuracy.
  • Assist with project forensic analysis.
  • Perform other assigned duties and comply with applicable policies and standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Ability to obtain OSHA 10-hour safety certification.
