Requirements
  • The applicant must be at least 16 years old.
  • The applicant must have a valid driver's license.
  • The applicant must have consistently reliable transportation to changing project locations.
  • The applicant must own a dependable smartphone with a functioning camera and data access.
  • The applicant must have strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • The applicant must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • The applicant must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check.
  • The applicant must maintain client confidentiality and follow company policies.
  • The applicant must be willing to travel throughout the service area and occasionally to nearby communities.
  • The applicant must be comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling, timekeeping, communication, photography, research, and project-management applications.
  • The applicant must be willing to learn CTBids and other Caring Transitions systems.
  • The applicant must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, kneel, reach, climb stairs, and work at different levels.
  • The applicant must be able to repeatedly lift and carry boxes and household items weighing approximately 25–30 pounds.
  • The applicant must use safe team-lifting practices for larger items.
  • The applicant must be able to work in homes, garages, basements, sheds, workshops, storage areas, and outdoor spaces that may be dusty, cluttered, dirty, hot, cold, or without full climate control.
  • The applicant must wear company-provided or required protective equipment when appropriate.
  • The applicant must follow project plans, safety procedures, company standards, and client-information protection requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Sort household contents and create logical, marketable groups of items for online auction.
  • Determine which items should be offered individually and which should be combined into lots.
  • Separate items designated for auction, relocation, family, donation, recycling, or disposal.
  • Maintain accurate lot numbers and keep merchandise, photographs, and listing information properly matched.
  • Organize work areas so projects can move efficiently from room to room.
  • Clean and stage items when appropriate so they are presented attractively and honestly.
  • Take clear, well-composed photographs using a smartphone or other approved device.
  • Capture labels, signatures, maker’s marks, model numbers, measurements, accessories, and condition details.
  • Select useful angles and backgrounds that help online bidders understand what they are buying.
  • Edit or improve listing photographs using approved tools when needed.
  • Research brand names, model numbers, materials, history, comparable items, and other useful information.
  • Identify vintage, collectible, unusual, or potentially valuable items and bring them to the Project Lead’s attention.
  • Record measurements, quantities, condition, identifying details, and known flaws accurately.
  • Draft clear, engaging, and factually accurate auction titles and descriptions.
  • Use approved technology and artificial-intelligence-assisted tools to improve listing efficiency while checking information for accuracy.
  • Upload or assist with uploading photographs and item information to approved auction systems.
  • Prepare completed lots for storage, preview, or bidder pickup.
  • Stage sold items by buyer, lot number, or pickup sequence.
  • Help buyers locate and receive their merchandise during auction pickups.
  • Confirm that the correct items are released to the correct buyer.
  • Assist with packing or preparing shippable auction merchandise when assigned.
  • Leave project areas organized and ready for the client’s next step.
  • Communicate questions, concerns, damage, valuables, and unusual findings promptly.
  • Accept coaching and constructive feedback professionally.
  • Assist with other Caring Transitions projects when business needs require it.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with estate sales or online auctions.
  • Experience with eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Etsy, resale, or e-commerce.
  • Experience with photography or visual merchandising.
  • Knowledge of antiques, collectibles, art, jewelry, tools, furniture, or household goods.
  • Experience with inventory, warehousing, cataloging, or retail merchandising.
  • Experience with professional organizing.
  • Experience with research or written content creation.
  • Experience with CTBids or other auction platforms.
