Requirements
  • A valid California Class A driver's license is required.
  • A clean motor vehicle record is required, and the candidate must submit a current five-year driver's record.
  • Applicants must create a profile with the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse before hire.
  • Employment is contingent on successfully passing a drug screen.
  • The candidate must provide customer service and attention to detail, including placing deliveries in customer-authorized locations and ensuring deliveries are accounted for and acknowledged before leaving.
  • The candidate must have good listening and verbal communication skills and follow manager instructions.
  • The candidate must successfully complete required background screenings.
  • The candidate must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration requirements.
  • The candidate must be at least 21 years old.
  • The candidate must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • The candidate must be able to use a lift gate, dollies or hand truck, scanners, and navigation equipment.
  • The candidate must be able to reach, bend, stoop, squat, turn or twist, push or pull, stand, kneel, and walk.
  • The candidate must be able to drive safely in adverse weather conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Drive and operate a company-owned truck.
  • Load and unload products from the truck.
  • Verify deliveries with customers for accuracy.
  • Scan products and obtain customer invoice signatures after completing deliveries.
  • Follow the assigned daily itinerary, meet delivery schedules, and deliver products to the correct address on time and as instructed.
  • Complete the return sheet promptly and submit it to Driver Check In.
  • Communicate delivery or itinerary changes, injuries, and vehicle or routing issues to routing, dispatch, and managers.
  • Establish positive working relationships and communicate effectively with customers.
  • Follow Department of Transportation regulations and safety protocols.
  • Comply with company timekeeping policies.
  • Provide customer service throughout delivery operations, from the warehouse to the customer's front door.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior Class A commercial driving experience is a plus.
