- Currently studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (seeking a placement year).
- Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., .NET/C#, Java, or similar).
- Understanding of software development principles and best practices.
- Basic working knowledge of SQL, including writing and understanding queries.
- Join a cross-functional engineering squad and work under the guidance of a Technical Lead to contribute to real-world product development.
- Support the delivery of technical solutions, including bug fixes, feature enhancements, and new functionality, while learning how to deploy production-ready code in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
- Help troubleshoot, analyse, and resolve issues in large-scale distributed systems that process high volumes of requests.
- Explore and understand complex codebases, making improvements to maintainability, performance, and overall quality.
- Contribute to delivering features and small-scale projects from inception through to release as your confidence grows.
- Identify root causes of issues and propose practical, scalable solutions.
- Apply critical thinking to challenge assumptions, identify edge cases, and improve engineering outcomes.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Continuously improve technical skills through feedback, code reviews, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to maintaining high-quality, scalable, and secure software.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) is desirable.
- Exposure to web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Exposure to multiple languages and frameworks including .NET, JavaScript, SQL, and more.

LONDON, December 16, 2025 - Proskauer advised long-standing client Barings on the debt financing for Castik Capital's acquisition of a majority stake in Interact Software. Castik Capital is a Luxembourg-based private equity firm focused on investing in high-quality, growing businesses across Europe. Interact Software is an intranet software provider headquartered in the UK and focused on facilitating internal communication, knowledge sharing and employee engagement for customers across North America and EMEA. The investment will assist in accelerating Interact Software's mission to become the definitive operating system for the enterprise employee experience, powering substantial growth through targeted M&A and product development. The cross-border Proskauer team was led by partner Harriet West and associate Jessica Viner in London (Private Credit). The team also included partner Gayle Berne (Global Finance); partners Daniella Abel and Martin Hamilton and associates Luis de Freitas and Rita Halabi (Tax) and partner Liam Arthur and associate Adya Garg (Private Equity M&A).
Funds managed by Castik Capital have agreed to acquire a majority stake in Interact Software from Unicorn Asset Management, Octopus Ventures, Perwyn Advisors, the former Chairman, the Executive management, and other minority shareholders. The investment is designed to accelerate Interact’s push to become the core operating system for the enterprise employee experience, with a focus on product expansion and targeted M&A.
