Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Some work experience in human resources, organizational development, or an industrial-organizational psychology-related field is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise the organizational-development team, specifically organizational-development specialists.
  • Provide communication between organizational-development specialists and the executive director.
  • Establish a collaborative work environment.
  • Organize and lead monthly departmental meetings to review project updates and establish future expectations.
  • Write a weekly newsletter in collaboration with organizational-development specialists and the co-director to deliver updated project-progress information.
  • Build the organizational structure.
  • Initiate and ensure proper implementation of the executive coaching program.
  • Plan long-term visionary projects to support organizational effectiveness and successful work results.
  • Promote collaboration between the organization and external companies, including Jobs for Youth and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, to recruit future interns.
  • Supervise and monitor an outside consultant working on special projects.
  • Develop a code of conduct, departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures aligned with the organization's mission.
  • Determine staffing requirements, interview candidates, hire employees, and work with new employees on specific projects.
  • Track the weekly hours of consultants.
  • Attend professional meetings and training workshops and read field publications to enhance professional competence.
