Requirements
  • Experience supporting U.S. government programs, including familiarity with government contracting mechanisms such as OTA and FAR/DFARS-adjacent requirements.
  • Operational supply chain experience in procurement, inventory, and production planning.
  • Direct purchasing experience.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise resource planning systems for procurement, purchase order management, and part/item master data.
  • Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, and evaluate new ideas with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to work across disciplines with engineering, design, and program management counterparts to deliver products and services on time.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including the ability to use data and metrics to support recommendations and decisions.
  • Ability to develop and execute project plans within budget and schedule constraints while managing multiple concurrent programs.
  • Track record of operating in ambiguous environments and defining processes that scale.
  • Ability to review Bills of Materials, identify long-lead and high-risk items, and develop supply chain strategies to meet program objectives.
  • Ability to work in an organized and self-directed manner, manage competing priorities without close supervision, and obtain security clearance if needed.
  • Work authorization for the location of the role is required; employment sponsorship is not available.
Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end procurement process for assigned programs or products, including creating part numbers, placing purchase orders, and managing supplier follow-through from quote to delivery.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors.
  • Manage inventory levels to maintain product availability while minimizing excess stock.
  • Track key performance indicators including inventory turnover, fill rates, and on-time delivery performance.
  • Monitor demand forecasting and production planning processes to support efficient operations and service reliability.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Manage and analyze price changes and their impact on program cost baselines.
  • Partner with Program Management to resolve supply chain-related business issues affecting program delivery.
  • Prepare and distribute internal and external reports supporting operational and business requirements.
  • Address and resolve quality control and quality assurance issues to ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
  • Review Bills of Materials to identify long-lead and high-risk items or systems and develop supply chain strategies to meet program objectives.
  • Develop and execute project plans within budget and schedule constraints across multiple concurrent programs.
  • Occasionally work extended hours or weekends during critical periods.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, SAP, or similar enterprise resource planning and warehouse management system platforms.
  • Exposure to aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of quality flowdown, AS9100, or supplier qualification processes.
  • Direct experience with low Earth orbit satellite component development, design, and in-orbit activities.
