About the job

Requirements
  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or a related commercial role.
  • 2–5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Previous experience working with enterprise clients or large organizations.
  • A strong track record in business-to-business sales and revenue generation.
  • The ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
  • Skill in managing a pipeline and closing deals.
Responsibilities
  • Manage one or more development managers or sellers focused on new business activities while also carrying an individual revenue quota.
  • Set the strategy for new business within the team.
  • Manage the pipeline via Salesforce.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person meetings with clients to establish relationships and drive new opportunities into the pipeline.
  • Set key performance indicators for sellers in consultation with sales leadership.
  • Stay up to date with Dow Jones enterprise subscription solutions.
  • Travel to meet clients where appropriate.
  • Forecast team revenue for management.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in a subscription-based, software-as-a-service, media, or information-services business is a strong plus.
