About the job

Requirements
  • A BSc in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or another related Engineering field is required.
  • At least 5 years of solution architecture experience, demonstrating the ability and motivation to drive technical design and delivery processes.
  • Deep expertise in GPU systems and high-performance networking, including a proven understanding of network topologies and storage architecture.
  • Proficiency in system-level aspects, including operating systems, Linux kernel drivers, GPUs, network interface cards, and infrastructure software solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience producing detailed infrastructure designs, including network topologies, rack layouts, bills of materials, and power and cooling plans.
  • Deep understanding of the interface between data centers and GPU supercomputers, including power and cooling constraints and failure modes.
  • Good understanding of data center fit-out and data center engineering, including mechanical and electrical constraints.
  • Experience interfacing with engineering and operations teams and vendors, and writing clear deliverables.
  • Ability to work in fast-moving, high-complexity technical environments.
Responsibilities
  • Engage with stakeholders, including the Program Management Office, Data Center Engineering, Solutions Engineering, and Infrastructure Operations teams, and translate their input into Radiant’s reference architecture and low-level design blueprints.
  • Stay up to date with technology advancements and roadmaps from key vendors.
  • Lead the low-level design of high-density AI supercomputer systems, including compute, interconnect, storage, and management.
  • Participate in the Architecture Review Board with key stakeholders to support collaboration and alignment on designs.
  • Evaluate tradeoffs among performance, power, cooling, serviceability, and cost throughout the procurement process.
  • Work with potential suppliers to drive detailed low-level designs, including rack elevation diagrams and layouts; data center floor plans and spatial planning; power distribution and cooling architecture with detailed specifications; bills of materials; and port mapping documents.
  • Drive thorough technical evaluations and accurate vendor responses during RFx processes, ensuring designs align with vendor capabilities and long-lead item constraints.
  • Take a hands-on role in manufacturing, burn-in, cabling, logical configuration, benchmarking, and logical implementation of new deployments to turn designs into production-grade systems.
  • Drive acceptance criteria with quality, reliability, safety, and performance goals in mind.
  • Work with Software Engineering and Solutions Engineering to ensure the infrastructure supports AI workload requirements.
  • Engage with project management to define delivery milestones, risks, resourcing, and deliverables.
  • Produce accurate architecture diagrams, configuration documentation, runbooks, and operational guidance to support handover of new deployments to Infrastructure Operations.
  • Establish delivery best practices and continuously improve designs, processes, and documentation through lessons-learned workshops.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior work experience in HPC, telecommunications, or hyperscale supercomputing environments designing, delivering, or operating large-scale HPC systems.
  • Work or research experience in networking fundamentals, the TCP/IP stack, and data center designs.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and telemetry systems and observability for infrastructure health.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cloud orchestration software and job schedulers, including Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, and HPC-specific schedulers such as Slurm.
  • Knowledge of DevOps and MLOps technologies, including Docker or containers, Kubernetes, and data center compute, network, and storage deployments.
  • Hands-on experience with NVIDIA systems and SDKs such as CUDA; NVIDIA networking technologies such as DPUs, RoCE, and InfiniBand; ARM CPU solutions; C/C++ programming; parallel programming; and GPU development.

About the company

Radiant builds and operates utility-scale AI infrastructure to deliver sovereign AI cloud compute through owned data centers, long-term capital, and proprietary software. It runs AI factories that provide scalable, resilient compute for governments, enterprises, and telecom providers, enabling rapid deployment of AI workloads at scale. After merging with Ori Industries, Radiant integrates distributed AI software with its hardware to form a global AI utility that lowers energy costs and reduces dependence on centralized clouds. Its goal is to create a secure, scalable AI platform that serves distributed locations worldwide, balancing land, capital, and software to support large-scale AI applications.
