About the job
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- At least six months to one year of experience as a Dual Rate Pit Manager, one to two years as a Floor Supervisor, and two to three years of dealing experience in casino operations are required.
- Must be able to maintain a gaming license.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
- Must be familiar with Pit accounting procedures and administrative tasks, including fills, credits, and marker transactions.
- Implement and ensure that all Casino Table Games operations and employee performance comply with company objectives, goals, and gaming regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Supervise the operation of assigned areas.
- Assist in selecting, training, and evaluating subordinate employees.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and hospitality and develop players.
- Ensure games move at an appropriate pace and maintain appropriate game spread, limits, and staffing.
- Recommend and suggest hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, discharging, evaluating, assigning, and disciplining table games employees on the assigned shift in a fair and equitable manner.
- Inform Casino Operations Managers of noteworthy, suspicious, or unusual activity and facilitate information flow throughout the casino.
- Coach and mentor employees in the assigned area to maintain or improve performance, promotion, and productivity through positive motivation.
- Maintain knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws and regulations, including federal, state, and compact requirements, as well as company internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
- Usher as needed for events.
- Perform reasonable requests made by management.
- Directly supervise all Floor Supervisors and Pit Clerks and indirectly supervise all dealers.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
