About the Company

Firsthand

Mental health support leveraging lived experience

Firsthand Cares provides mental health support and resources for people living with serious mental illness, with many team members having lived experience. Trained professionals deliver personal guidance, connect clients to community resources, and advocate for access to care, earning revenue through private payments, insurance reimbursements, and grants or donations. Its emphasis on shared lived experience builds trust and complements clinical care and community resources rather than relying solely on medical treatment. The goal is to improve mental health outcomes by reducing barriers to access and guiding recovery through compassionate, experience-informed support.
