Accounts Receivable Billing Administrator
About the job
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction billing industry.
- An associate's degree or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of project accounting and administrative policies and procedures.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.
- Proficiency with computers, particularly Microsoft Office applications, including the ability to type.
- Interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of diverse individuals.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight timeframes, respond to requests in a timely manner, and communicate effectively as a team player.
- Understanding of the importance of multitasking.
- Assist with project startup and perform specific tasks required by the assigned project's needs.
- Support customer and job setup in the ERP system.
- Create and submit invoices to customers.
- Follow up with customers as payment deadlines approach.
- Compile and submit certified payroll and waivers as required.
- Lead efforts for collections and customer payments.
- Maintain accounting records and project files according to the Document Control Policy so project staff and other company personnel can readily access information.
- Understand and support company policies and procedures, and follow and communicate them accordingly.
- Identify skill-training enhancement needs and opportunities relative to the position and/or any direct reports, and communicate them to management.
- When appropriate, participate in and actively support company training, safety, and management development initiatives.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as delegated by Sargent Electric management.
- Experience with AIA documentation.
- Certified payroll reporting experience.
