Senior Project Manager - Construction

- Previous experience with site development and heavy civil construction, including earthwork, utility installation, and roadway infrastructure.
- Coordinate with the Estimating Department as projects are awarded and assign projects to Project Managers as workload dictates.
- Review contracts and revise or approve them as necessary before signing by the Principal.
- Review and approve project buyouts before issuing purchase orders and subcontracts.
- Provide leadership and direction necessary to sustain growth within established company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of all current and potential projects, including activities or situations that could affect successful project outcomes.
- Make chain-of-command decisions required to achieve successful company results.
- Act as liaison between the client, engineer, governing authority, and Hughes Brothers Construction when necessary.
- Identify problematic situations or practices quickly and resolve them promptly to achieve desired results.
- Organize, direct, and train subordinate project management team members.
- Develop and maintain positive business relationships with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers or vendors.
- Oversee multiple site development and heavy civil construction projects from contract award through final completion.
- Serve as the intermediary for communication among the client, engineer, applicable governing authorities, and company personnel.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
- At least 5 years of industry experience at the Project Manager level or above.
- Previous experience with site development and heavy civil construction, including earthwork, utility installation, and roadway infrastructure.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, HCSS, AGTEK, Bluebeam, and Foundation.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
