- High school graduation or equivalent is required.
- Successful completion of a cardiac class or a written proficiency examination is required.
- Ability to identify and document cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias is required.
- Ability to allocate, operate, and maintain telemetry equipment is required.
- Identify cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias while continuously observing patient telemetry monitors.
- Communicate changes in cardiac rhythm to the registered nurse.
- Perform basic clinical duties as assigned.
- Promote a clean and safe environment of care using SAFE error prevention habits.
- Maintain patient, coworker, and hospital privacy and confidentiality by abiding by the Standards of Conduct.
