  • Student must be pursuing an MBA; preference for undergrad in engineering-related field
  • Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
  • Demonstrated ability to build complex spreadsheets and models.
  • Knowledge of customer segmentation and pricing for technology products and services.
  • Thorough knowledge of process cost drivers including materials (direct and indirect), equipment, labor, throughput, yield, etc.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with cross-functional subject experts.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
Responsibilities
  • Define and quantify key customer value drivers and develop pricing models.
  • Build dynamic models to estimate manufacturing process costs for new technologies and benchmark cost of ownership for Applied Materials’ technology against alternative solutions in the industry.
  • Identify potential development and supply partners, and make recommendations using a systematic approach and criteria.
  • Identify and propose areas for improving efficiency (yield and throughput) and differentiation compared to competitive alternatives.
  • Support technology and business team in developing product roadmap.
