EastWest Priority puts deeper client relationships at the heart of wealth management.

EastWest Priority puts deeper client relationships at the heart of wealth management. MANILA, Philippines - In wealth management, success for both client and bank is built through everyday conversations, advice shaped around real client needs, and relationships grounded in trust, understanding, and long-term stewardship. For EastWest Priority, the wealth management segment of EastWest, this client-first approach has earned recognition from regional and global award-giving bodies. These distinctions reflect its efforts to make priority banking more personal, insight-led, and accessible for today's affluent Filipinos. EastWest Priority has received consecutive recognition for its client experience and banking proposition. It was named Outstanding Client Experience in Wealth Management at the Global Private Banking Innovation Awards in both 2025 and 2026, Best Priority Banking Experience at the International Finance Magazine Awards for three consecutive years from 2023 to 2025, and Best Private Bank by Global Finance in 2024 and 2025. Most recently, EastWest Priority was named Best Private Bank - Domestic at the FinanceAsia Awards 2026. Behind these recognitions is EastWest Priority's belief that wealth management should begin with a clear understanding of where clients are in life, what matters to them, and what they hope to build for the future. "Filipino wealth clients today want a banking partner who understands their goals, their responsibilities, and the decisions they need to make across different life stages," said Rafael S. Algarra Jr., SEVP and Head of Financial Markets and Wealth Management. "For us, these distinctions speak to the trust our clients place in EastWest Priority and challenge us to keep making their banking experience more personal, relevant, and meaningful." EastWest Priority recently launched an enhanced Priority Banking experience designed to deliver greater ease, insight, and access for high-net-worth clients. The proposition brings together hyper-personalized investment and wealth solutions, dedicated relationship management, regular market updates, economic briefings, thought leadership sessions, and a growing nationwide footprint of Priority Banking branches. Its lifestyle and global access proposition include longstanding benefits offered through Visa, such as competitive foreign exchange fees, travel insurance coverage, Priority Pass airport lounge access, local and international ATM access, rewards, welcome gifts, and a 24/7 digital personal lifestyle assistant. To further raise the quality of client advisory, EastWest also partnered with Singapore Management University Executive Development for a five-month Wealth Management Programme completed by over 80 EastWestbankers from the Bank and its affiliates. The program focused on market and product mastery, portfolio construction, suitability, duty of care, stewardship, and high-stakes client conversations. It was designed to help EastWestbankers move from product-led conversations toward trusted advisory relationships. "Our aspiration is to develop Relationship Managers who can become the client's trusted advisor across financial needs and life stages," said Richard Chester Tamayo, SVP and Head of Wealth Management. "That means being able to address not just investments, but broader aspirations such as liquidity, protection, income, growth, retirement, education, business needs, succession, estate planning, and wealth transfer." While many premier banking programs in the market typically require Php 3 million to Php 5 million in assets under management, EastWest Priority offers an entry point of Php 2.5 million. This gives more rising professionals, entrepreneurs, and families access to relationship-managed banking and tailored wealth solutions. EastWest Priority's model also combines personalized advisory with digital convenience through an integrated phygital service experience. Clients are supported by dedicated Relationship Managers and 13 Priority Centers in key cities nationwide. They can also use digital platforms to manage their banking and wealth needs with greater ease. Together, these services give clients access to informed guidance, convenient banking, lifestyle privileges, and wealth solutions suited to increasingly complex financial needs. For EastWest Priority, each distinction reflects the everyday work behind meaningful client relationships: listening closely, offering relevant guidance, and helping clients make important financial decisions with greater confidence and clarity.
