Requirements
- An active Florida license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist is required.
- A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
- Experience working with adult mental health populations is required.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills are required.
- Commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered, recovery-oriented care is required.
- Must pass a Level 2 Background through the Florida Department of Children and Families and Agency for Health Care Administration Clearinghouse.
Responsibilities
- Carry an initial caseload of 15 or more clients, provide weekly therapy, and reassess therapy frequency based on clinical need.
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and ongoing clinical evaluations.
- Provide individual and group therapy for Mental Health Court participants.
- Complete required state, agency, and outcome documentation.
- Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based psychotherapy and best practices.
- Participate in service authorization, billing processes, and managed care requirements.
- Collaborate with judges, case managers, probation, law enforcement, and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Attend court sessions as needed and serve as a clinical voice regarding participant progress.
- Attend treatment team meetings and periodic staff meetings.
- Contribute to continuity of care across the organization’s service continuum.
- Maintain a regular schedule with court-related schedule adjustments as needed.
Desired Qualifications
- Court-involved or forensic experience is preferred.
