Ubisoft is a global developer and publisher of interactive entertainment, creating, marketing, and selling video games for consoles, PCs, and mobile devices. Its products run as traditional paid games, in-game purchases, and subscription services, and are supported by major franchises such as Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six. Games are built to run across platforms with optional in-game purchases and ongoing services, and Ubisoft also develops its own tech, like Ubisoft Scalar, to streamline game development and enhance player experiences. The company differentiates itself through its large portfolio of enduring franchises, its in-house technology investments, and its active support for esports, community building, accessibility, and inclusion. Ubisoft’s goal is to deliver engaging interactive experiences at scale, grow its global gaming ecosystem, and maintain leadership in game development and publishing while expanding services and accessibility for a wide audience.

Ubisoft has renamed its "Creative House 2" division to Massive Entertainment, adopting the name of its Swedish studio acquired in 2008. The group, led by former Amazon Games chief Christoph Hartmann, will oversee franchises including Tom Clancy's "The Division," "Ghost Recon," and "Splinter Cell." From 30 September, development teams in Montréal, Paris, Sweden, and Toronto will operate under the Massive Entertainment brand. The division also includes "March of Giants," a multiplayer game Ubisoft acquired from Amazon. Massive Entertainment remains part of Ubisoft, which publishes all games developed under the brand. This forms part of Ubisoft's creative house-led operating model, alongside Vantage Studios. The company is targeting €200 million in cost reductions for 2026.
Ubisoft held its Annual General Meeting on 30 September 2026 in Paris, with shareholders holding 47.65% of outstanding shares in attendance. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Yves Guillemot presided over the meeting. All resolutions were approved by a large majority, demonstrating shareholder support for Ubisoft's strategy. Notably, shareholders authorised the Board of Directors to grant stock options as an incentive tool for attracting and retaining individuals with critical expertise. The Board thanked three outgoing directors — Katherine Hays, Olfa Zorgati, and Lionel Bouchet — for their contributions to overseeing the company's transformation. For the 2025-26 fiscal year, Ubisoft generated net bookings of €1.53 billion.
Ubisoft reported first-quarter net bookings of €256 million for fiscal year 2026-27, down 9% year-on-year but slightly above guidance. The decline reflects a high comparison base from Assassin's Creed Shadows' March 2025 release. The quarter saw record performance from Invincible: Guarding the Globe, whilst Rainbow Six Siege performed in line with expectations. Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced launched in July, achieving an 84 rating on OpenCritic and Metacritic. The game sold 3.5 million copies within its first 14 days, exceeding annual expectations. Ubisoft appointed industry veteran Christoph Hartmann as general manager of Creative House 2. The company closed its Winnipeg and Belgrade studios, made targeted changes to global publishing, and restructured its Barcelona studio. The company confirmed its fiscal year 2026-27 and mid-term outlook.
Ubisoft has appointed former Amazon Games chief Christoph Hartmann as general manager of Creative House 2, overseeing franchises including "Tom Clancy's The Division", "Ghost Recon" and "Splinter Cell". The division will also include "March of Giants", which Ubisoft acquired from Amazon in December. Hartmann brings over 20 years of industry experience. He recently served as vice president of Amazon Games before leaving earlier this year. Prior to Amazon, he spent two decades at Take-Two Interactive, co-founding 2K Games and leading development of franchises including "Borderlands", "BioShock" and "NBA 2K". Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said Hartmann's experience across development and publishing makes him well-suited to elevate the company's teams and deepen connections with players.
Ubisoft has appointed Christoph Hartmann, Amazon Games vice president, to lead its Creative House 2 division, which oversees the Tom Clancy franchise including titles such as "Splinter Cell" and "The Division". Hartmann brings significant industry experience, having co-founded and led 2K, owned by Take-Two Interactive. During his tenure there, he oversaw major franchises including Borderlands, BioShock and Civilization. The appointment signals Ubisoft's continued investment in its Tom Clancy properties as the French video games company seeks experienced leadership for one of its key creative divisions.
