Beyond Finance named to Newsweek's America's Best Online Platforms 2026. Second consecutive year on the list, which draws on a survey of more than 15,000 users CHICAGO (Aug. 14, 2026) - Beyond Finance has been named to Newsweek's list of America's Best Online Platforms 2026 for the second consecutive year. The list, presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider, was announced July 1, 2026, and recognizes the top 500 platforms setting the standard for quality and trust. For Beyond Finance, the recognition carries a particular meaning. The people who use its platform are often navigating one of the most stressful periods of their financial lives - and in that moment, a digital experience that's clear, straightforward, and easy to return to isn't a convenience. It's part of the help. "We built this platform around a simple principle: remove obstacles at every step," said Shaila Kuchibhotla, Head of Product at Beyond Finance. "When someone's dealing with financial stress, a confusing mobile experience shouldn't stand between them and the help they need. This recognition tells us that focus is landing with the people using the product every day." The America's Best Online Platforms 2026 ranking evaluated platforms across four dimensions: * Nationwide online survey - a representative survey of more than 15,000 online-service users, collecting subjective criteria such as evaluation of layout and purchase probability * Traffic growth - analysis of relative and absolute growth in website visitors * Technical performance - analysis of metrics including visitor usage duration and bounce rate * Apps and mobile usability - evaluation of the mobile experience based on the availability and quality of platform apps, including app store presence and user ratings, as well as whether the platform offers an optimized display for mobile users Statista publishes hundreds of worldwide industry rankings and company listings with high-profile media partners. This research and analysis service is based on the success of statista.com, the leading data and business intelligence portal, which provides statistics, relevant business data, and various market and consumer studies and surveys. Americans know how to manage money. Why can't they make good financial practices stick? Aug 11, 2026, 08:20 ET New Beyond Finance research reveals behavior change is the biggest barrier to lasting financial wellness National Financial Awareness Day recognized Aug. 14 CHICAGO, Aug. 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Most Americans don't need more financial advice - they need help turning good intentions into lasting financial habits. A new national survey from Beyond Finance found that while three in four Americans (75%) are confident in their budgeting and money management skills, nearly two-thirds (64%) admit they struggle to consistently follow through on the financial habits they already know they should be practicing. These findings suggest that lasting financial wellness depends on more than knowledge alone, highlighting a growing need for resources that help people overcome the behavioral and emotional barriers that keep good financial intentions from becoming lasting habits. The Missing Link in Financial Wellness Isn't Knowledge - It's Behavior Rather than pointing to a lack of financial education, respondents identified behavioral obstacles that make it difficult to stay on track. Thirty-five percent said they feel overwhelmed by their finances, while others cited difficulty staying consistent (29%), losing motivation (24%), decision fatigue (22%), avoiding financial issues altogether (21%), and feeling ashamed after previous financial mistakes (21%). To help Americans address that challenge, Beyond Finance introduced its free Financial Wellness RESET(TM) Framework, Assessment and Curriculum, a clinically informed educational resource designed to help people better understand and shift the behavioral, emotional, and practical factors that shape their financial decisions. The framework launches amid historic financial pressure on American households. According to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, U.S. household debt reached a record $18.8 trillion in early 2026, including approximately $1.25 trillion in credit card balances. Household debt has increased by roughly $4.6 trillion since the end of 2019, while delinquency rates remain elevated. "America doesn't just have a financial literacy gap, it has a financial behavior gap," said Dr. Erika Rasure, PhD, CFT(TM), chief financial wellness advisor at Beyond Finance and creator of the Financial Wellness RESET. "Most people already understand the basics of budgeting, saving, and managing debt. The real challenge begins when stress, overwhelm, shame, or everyday life get in the way of consistently putting those habits into practice. Financial Wellness RESET was built to bridge that gap by helping people understand not just what to do with their money, but why lasting financial change can be so difficult, and how to create habits that stick." All The Apps and Spreadsheets In The World Won't Work Without Mindset Changes The survey also found Americans have embraced virtually every major money management tool - from spreadsheets (28%) and budgeting apps (26%), to bank budgeting tools (26%) and handwritten expense tracking (24%). Yet respondents reported only modest improvements regardless of which tools they used, suggesting that tracking spending alone often isn't enough to drive meaningful behavioral change. "The hardest part of money isn't math," added Dr. Rasure. "People aren't asking for another budgeting worksheet. They're asking how to stay motivated when life gets stressful, how to break unhealthy financial patterns, and how to stop feeling overwhelmed by money. That's exactly what Financial Wellness RESET is designed to help them do." Financial Wellness Is Going Mainstream And Americans Are Ready The findings also point to growing demand for financial wellness programs that address the psychology behind money: * Nearly 70% believe mindset must change before - or alongside - their finances. * 60% say they would be more motivated by a program that explores the psychology behind financial behavior. * 62% would be interested in a financial wellness program developed by a financial therapist that focuses on their relationship with money. About Financial Wellness RESET Developed by Dr. Erika Rasure, PhD, CFT, Financial Wellness RESET combines behavioral science, financial therapy principles, and practical financial education. Participants begin with a free 20-question assessment followed by a five-module, self-paced curriculum built around five pillars: Recenter, Examine, Simplify, Empower and Transform. Financial Wellness RESET is available free to anyone on the Beyond Finance website: https://www.beyondfinance.com/blog/reset-framework/ As Beyond Finance celebrates 15 years of helping more than 1.3 million Americans, and resolving more than $15 billion in debt, the company believes the next frontier in financial wellness isn't simply providing more information - it's helping people create lasting behavioral change. The survey was conducted online by QuestionPro among 2,010 U.S. adults in July 2026. Beyond Finance Awards Florida grandmother over $20,000 to eliminate debt. Through the company's Beyond Debt Now giveaway, clients' lives are transformed with a huge financial leg up. July 19, 2026 (Daytona Beach, Fla.) - Beyond Finance, a leading financial wellness and debt consolidation company, announced Diane Keane, a retiree from Daytona Beach, Florida, as its latest Beyond Debt Now winner. Launched in 2022, the monthly giveaway is one of the ways Beyond Finance goes above and beyond to support clients. Through the initiative, the company pays off a portion - or sometimes the entirety - of a client's enrolled debt, delivering life-changing relief alongside its core services. Keane, who spent much of her career in retail and, later, working in Florida's library and court systems, said her debt began as she stepped in to help her daughter, a single mother of two teenage boys. "I took out a couple of credit cards and it got a little out of control trying to make payments," she said. "Each of the boys had their own car, and then one broke down. Family is very important to me, so I figured I could do without a few things." By the time Keane enrolled with Beyond Finance, she had more than $43,000 in unsecured debt. Working with the Beyond Finance team, she said she saw her monthly payments drop by nearly $950. "It was a relief," she said. "I could sleep at night instead of tossing and turning wondering how I was going to do this." Throughout her program, Keane said she was consistently impressed by the guidance and compassion of the Client Success team: "Everybody I've spoken with has been top-notch and understanding," she said. "I don't know how one company can find so many people who care." When Keane learned she'd won the Beyond Debt Now giveaway, she said she was overcome with emotion. "I cried. I had to ask them two or three times, 'Let me understand what you're telling me - I don't have to pay anything at all?'" she said. "It was shocking, absolutely shocking." "Stories like Diane's are why we do this work," said Lou Antonelli, Chief Operating Officer at Beyond Finance. "She took on this debt to support her daughter and grandsons, and she stayed committed to doing right by her family every step of the way. We're honored to help her move into this next chapter with confidence and peace of mind." With her debt now behind her, Keane says she's looking forward to the future. "I'm actually going to start enjoying life now," she said. "I don't even know if I remember how, but I'm going to figure it out!" She added, "You guys have saved my life, literally. I thank you from the bottom of my heart." Beyond Debt Now recipients are chosen based on nominations from Beyond Finance team members, allowing them to personally recognize clients and make a significant impact on their financial futures. Since Beyond Debt Now's launch in 2022, the giveaway has helped eliminate over $1 million in debt for over 70 clients across the country. The nationwide movement closes Financial Literacy Month with a country-wide call to action, emphasizing financial literacy as the foundation for economic opportunity. As part of its Financial Literacy for All initiative, Green Socks Day encourages representatives of schools, corporations, faith-based organizations, and community groups across the country to wear green socks as a visible symbol of commitment to financial understanding and economic empowerment. Beyond Finance has pledged support to Operation HOPE as part of its Rising Beyond philanthropic initiative launched in 2025. Rooted in the company's mission to help people rise above the burden of debt and regain financial wellness, Rising Beyond extends Beyond Finance's commitment to economic empowerment through partnerships with four nationally respected nonprofit organizations: Operation HOPE, Wounded Warrior Project(R)(WWP), Blue Star Families, and Hiring Its Heroes. For this year's Financial Literacy Month, Beyond Finance teamed up with Operation HOPE on a study of Gen Z and Millennials which revealed a widening gap between traditional financial guidance and the economic realities younger generations face: among other revelations, 7 in 10 indicated wealth is out of reach as 'survival spending' becomes the norm. As Financial Literacy Month spotlights the importance of financial education, the findings point to a broader challenge of whether the traditional path to financial success still works to achieve the "American Dream," and the potential need to write a new one.
