Responsibilities
  • Assist with the job cost accounting process for active projects to help ensure timely and accurate reporting of job costs.
  • Support project managers and finance staff in gathering and organizing job cost data.
  • Help monitor job cost data and assist in identifying trends or discrepancies involving labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs.
  • Assist in preparing job cost reports and basic metrics for internal stakeholders.
  • Support the team in preparing data for project bids and proposals.
  • Help with routine audits of job cost entries to check for accuracy and compliance.
  • Learn and apply best practices in job cost accounting and construction finance.
  • Maintain organized, accurate records and files.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Basic familiarity with accounting software such as Viewpoint, QuickBooks, or Xero.
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Enrollment in an accounting, finance, or construction management program, or a related field.
