Requirements
  • A master's degree in a related field is required.
  • At least five years of progressively responsible administrative and clinical management experience in mental health is required.
  • Knowledge of the psychosocial rehabilitation approach is required.
  • Knowledge of serious mental illnesses and co-occurring substance use disorders is required.
  • The role requires standing and walking for six hours per day, sitting for up to two hours at a time, frequent typing and data entry, frequent hand use, occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds and sometimes heavier, and frequent stooping, bending, and reaching above shoulder level.
  • Applicants must complete the application using their full legal name and current home address and provide employment history for the past seven years, including their present employer.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services line in compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and accepted best and evidence-based practices while achieving desired outcomes.
  • Ensure rehabilitation services programs achieve full licensure or accreditation status and receive satisfactory performance reviews during external audits by oversight bodies.
  • Manage risks to consumers, employees, and the environment of care through direct consultation and standardized policies and procedures.
  • Hire qualified staff and monitor their performance.
  • Collaborate with clinical service-line managers and medical staff to identify internal collaboration and care-coordination opportunities aligned with strategic initiatives and regional or state healthcare trends.
  • Participate in service-area and regional planning meetings focused on developing community resource and support options for participants with serious mental illnesses and co-occurring substance use disorders.
  • Maintain and improve the quality and efficiency of the Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services line.
