Bloomerang has appointed Dave Stevens as Chief AI Officer, effective 1 July 2026. Stevens, who has been leading Bloomerang Innovation Labs, will oversee the company's AI strategy, model development, governance, and the intelligence layer powering its platform for more than 24,000 nonprofits. Stevens brings over two decades of technology experience. As VP of AI at CentralReach, he built the company's generative AI organisation and shipped multiple AI products before its acquisition by Roper Technologies. He co-founded Chartlytics, later acquired by CentralReach, and founded AI venture studio Rad/s. In his new role, Stevens will work with engineering and product teams to expand Bloomerang's AI capabilities, including Penny, the company's AI fundraising strategist, and predictive donor intelligence from its partnership with Dataro.
Bloomerang hosted GiveCon 2026 in St. Louis, drawing nearly 700 nonprofit leaders for three days focused on AI-powered fundraising and donor engagement. The conference featured over 60 sessions covering recurring giving, major gifts and fundraising strategy. The event's main announcement was a strategic partnership with Dataro, integrating predictive donor intelligence into Bloomerang's Giving Platform. Dataro's models identify donors at risk of lapsing, those ready to give again and upgrade opportunities, working alongside Penny, Bloomerang's AI fundraising assistant. The conference also hosted the second annual Givie Awards, recognising excellence in fundraising and campaign innovation. Winners included Well Aware, Nourish Meals on Wheels, Eye Thrive and fundraiser Meredith Harrison. GiveCon 2027 will take place in Atlanta. Bloomerang serves over 24,000 nonprofits with its unified fundraising and CRM platform.
Bloomerang, a giving platform serving over 24,000 nonprofits, has partnered with Dataro to integrate predictive donor modelling and AI-powered prospect research directly into its platform. The integration, announced at GiveCon 2026, will be available from July 2026. The partnership adds predictive signals to donor records, identifying those at risk of lapsing, ready to give, or suitable for upgrading to monthly or major gifts. It also includes on-demand AI prospect reports compiled within Bloomerang, eliminating separate tools or manual research. Dataro's models run on anonymised signals across millions of donors whilst keeping individual customer data within the platform. Bloomerang customers already record average one-time gifts of $166, 37% above industry averages. The integration requires no separate login or data export for existing users.
Bloomerang, a fundraising platform serving over 24,000 nonprofits, has launched Conversational Reporting, allowing users to generate reports using plain-language queries. The feature is available in alpha, with general availability planned for summer. The tool enables nonprofit staff to request reports by typing questions such as "show me donors who gave last year but not this year" and receive configured reports within seconds, eliminating the need for technical expertise or specialist support. Users can refine results through follow-up questions, schedule recurring reports, and convert insights into outreach lists. The capability is part of Bloomerang's intelligent Giving Platform, which includes AI-powered tools across fundraising, CRM and volunteer management. The Indianapolis-based company aims to reduce administrative tasks whilst keeping teams in control of strategic decisions.
Bloomerang has launched Penny, an AI fundraising strategist trained on thousands of real nonprofit consulting engagements, now available in beta to all customers. Unlike generic AI tools, Penny is built on proven fundraising strategies and operates within Bloomerang's platform to analyse donor history and deliver actionable guidance. The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields used Penny during a time-sensitive campaign to unlock a matching grant, identifying high-potential donors and guiding outreach. The organisation raised $2.25 million, exceeding its goal. Penny enables nonprofits to ask questions in natural language, surface donor insights, receive guided strategies, and take direct action within the platform. Bloomerang serves more than 24,000 nonprofits, providing fundraising, CRM, and volunteer management tools.
