Clearcover is a digital car insurance provider in the United States that uses automation and online platforms to offer affordable premiums and efficient coverage for modern drivers, including millennials and rideshare drivers. The product works through a primarily online experience: customers obtain and manage policies, file claims, and receive support via a mobile app and a web platform, while automated processes help control costs. This approach sets Clearcover apart from traditional insurers by concentrating on operational efficiency and digital management to pass savings to customers, rather than relying on a large network of bricks-and-mortar operations. The company’s goal is to deliver straightforward, cost-effective auto insurance with a convenient digital experience for policyholders.

Clearcover, an AI-native auto insurance carrier, has launched Dearborn Labs, a forward-deployed AI practice that builds and operates AI systems inside property and casualty insurance carriers and MGAs. Unlike traditional SaaS providers, Dearborn Labs embeds teams within client operations to deploy production systems within weeks. The practice is led by Kyle Nakatsuji, whose team at Clearcover achieved notable results: over 90% of claims intake runs through AI agents, 93% of policies are bound digitally, and claims handling operates at three times the efficiency of traditional carriers. Founded in 2026 as part of the Clearcover holding company, Dearborn Labs aims to help insurers integrate AI across underwriting, claims and operations. The firm is accepting a limited number of carrier and MGA engagements for Q2 2026.
