Proofpoint made its first acquisition Monday since being bought by Thoma Bravo, purchasing Singapore-based Dathena to help organizations better understand information risk and eliminate data loss through AI-based data classification.
In May 2020, Dathena closed a $12m Series A funding round led by Jungle Ventures, with the participation of CapHorn and Seeds Capital, an investment arm of Enterprise Singapore, a government agency championing enterprise development.
Dathena was founded in 2016, employs 45 people, and has raised $12 million in three rounds of outside funding, according to LinkedIn and Crunchbase.
