Hightouch

Connects customer data to marketing tools

Overview

Hightouch builds software that connects a company's customer data to the marketing, sales and advertising tools its teams use. Its customer data platform works with information already held in a business's cloud data warehouse, letting marketers build audiences and coordinate campaigns from that shared foundation. Data teams select the records to send, map fields between systems and schedule updates so operational tools receive relevant customer information. Its marketing platform also uses AI to assemble branded content and run personalized campaigns, with customers paying according to product usage. Founded in 2019, Hightouch is headquartered in San Francisco, California.

Hightouch acquires Strata to expand integrations across the marketing stack.

Hightouch acquires Strata to expand integrations across the marketing stack. Strata CEO Kelsey Mullaney joins Hightouch to help lead revenue programs and go-to-market strategy. Hightouch, the leading Agentic Marketing Platform, announced it has acquired Strata, an AI platform that connects marketing tools without code. The acquisition expands Hightouch's integration capabilities, giving marketing teams' AI agents more of the data they need to make decisions. Strata was founded in 2024 by Kelsey Mullaney, Julian Mclain and Ilya Brin, who met as early employees at Iterable. With Strata, teams tell an AI agent what data to move and where, and Strata builds the connection and keeps it running as systems change. Mullaney, Strata's CEO, will join Hightouch to help lead revenue programs and go-to-market strategy. "Marketers should be able to use their customer data without waiting on engineering for every new campaign or connection, and Strata helps us deliver on that for our customers," said Hightouch co-founder and CTO Joshua Curl. "Hightouch is removing the ceiling on what marketers can do, bringing data, AI and execution together so marketers can finally move at the speed of their ideas. That's exactly why we built Strata, and joining Hightouch means we get there faster, for far more marketers," said Mullaney. Hightouch expects the acquisition to simplify onboarding and give customers more flexibility as their technology stacks evolve.

Hightouch names Matthew Lubeck General Manager, EMEA.

Hightouch names Matthew Lubeck General Manager, EMEA. Hightouch has named Matthew Lubeck as General Manager, EMEA, adding regional leadership as the company expands its go-to-market operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Based in London, Lubeck will oversee Hightouch's go-to-market functions across EMEA. His appointment brings around 20 years of experience spanning marketing technology and consumer brands in Europe. He joins Hightouch from Amperity, where he launched and led the company's EMEA business. Earlier in his career, Lubeck held leadership roles at L'Oréal and The Estée Lauder Companies. The new role comes as marketing technology companies increasingly build regional teams to address differences in customer requirements, data regulations, buying processes, and market maturity across EMEA. Hightouch operates in the data and AI marketing space, with its platform connecting customer data stored in companies' existing data infrastructure with marketing and business workflows. The company has offices in London and Paris, along with teams supporting markets including France, Germany, Italy, the Nordics, Benelux, and the Middle East. Lubeck's experience across both consumer brands and customer data technology gives him exposure to different sides of the marketing technology ecosystem. At Amperity, he was responsible for establishing and leading its EMEA business, while his earlier roles at L'Oréal and Estée Lauder provided experience from within large consumer organizations. His appointment also comes as marketers across the region explore the use of AI agents for customer engagement, data activation, and marketing operations. This is creating new requirements around how customer data, technology platforms, governance, and marketing execution work together. Hightouch has also been expanding its presence in the Middle East, including a team in Dubai focused on the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Lubeck's EMEA remit therefore covers a region with varied markets and evolving requirements around data and AI adoption. The appointment gives Hightouch a dedicated regional leader as it continues to develop its EMEA go-to-market organization and navigate the changing relationship between customer data, marketing technology, and AI.

Suno hires ex-Hightouch CFO Cherry Miao as its first finance chief: 'Music is one of the things that makes humans human'

Suno hires ex-Hightouch CFO Cherry Miao as its first finance chief: 'Music is one of the things that makes humans human' September 15, 2026 Cherry Miao has joined Suno as the AI music company's first Chief Financial Officer. That's according to Miao, who announced the appointment in a LinkedIn post on Monday (September 14). She joins from Hightouch, the data and AI marketing company, where she was CFO. Wrote Miao: "I'm thrilled to share that I've joined Suno, the AI music company, as their first CFO. "I'm not joining Suno because it's one of the fastest-growing companies of all time (though it is!). I'm joining because my daughter started singing before she started talking. "Music is one of the things that makes humans human, and I'm deeply committed to the mission of using technology to bring more people the joy of creative expression. "On an internet that pushes us to mindlessly consume, more than 100 million people have used Suno to make something instead. A world centered on creation and expression is the world I want my daughter to live in." In her post, Miao thanked Suno's founding team, linking to the profiles of co-founders Mikey Shulman, Martin Camacho, and Georg Kucsko. She also thanked people at Menlo Ventures, Bond Capital, Forerunner, IVP, Lightspeed, and Matrix, all of which have invested in Suno. That round was led by Bond Capital, alongside IVP, Forerunner, Union Square Ventures, Alkeon, and Quiet, with participation from existing investors Matrix, Lightspeed, Menlo Ventures, and Schroders Capital. It more than doubled Suno's valuation from the $2.45 billion it reached after a $250 million Series C round in November 2025. Co-founder and CEO Mikey Shulman said at the time that over 100 million people had used the platform. Suno runs a free tier alongside a Pro plan at $10 per month and a Premier plan at $30 per month. The company counted around 200 employees in June and planned to grow headcount by as much as 70% by the end of the year, according to Bloomberg. Miao is the latest senior appointment at Suno, which hired former Merlin CEO Jeremy Sirota as Chief Commercial Officer in February. Paul Sinclair, who spent over two decades at Warner Music Group, joined Suno as Chief Music Officer in July 2025. Miao oversaw finance, legal, data, and revenue operations at Hightouch, and had been both a customer and an angel investor in the company before joining it, CFO.com reported in October 2025. Her previous employers include Headway and Accel. Suno launched its v6 suite of AI music models on Wednesday (September 9), developed with what the company called its industry partners, including Warner Music Group, BMG, and Believe. Suno settled WMG's copyright lawsuit in November 2025, in a deal that also saw it acquire concert-discovery platform Songkick from the major. It signed a licensing deal with BMG on August 12, and another with Believe on September 8. Universal Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment remain plaintiffs in the RIAA-coordinated copyright case filed against Suno in Boston in June 2024. Fact discovery in that case closes on September 30. Suno lost a first-instance copyright case brought by Germany's GEMA at the Munich Regional Court on July 31, and said in a statement at the time that it disagreed with the ruling and was "evaluating all available options, including an appeal." Denmark's Koda sued the company in Copenhagen in November 2025, and Canada's SOCAN filed a claim in the Federal Court of Canada on September 2. Round Hill Music sued the company and data-scraping firm Bright Data on August 17, seeking damages the publisher says could approach or exceed $1 billion. "I'm so so amped to do the best work of my career alongside you all," Miao wrote of the Suno team.Music Business Worldwide
