Literati provides a curated book subscription service for adults and children. For adults, it partners with Luminaries—influential figures from business, sports, activism, and the arts—who select and discuss a new hardcover book each month, guiding subscribers to an intellectually and inspirational read. For children, Literati offers a 'try before you buy' option with educator- and expert-reviewed book selections to ensure high-quality, age-appropriate literature. The model is subscription-based, with monthly fees for receiving curated books and additional sales of books subscribers choose to keep. This setup creates a steady income stream and differentiates Literati through celebrity involvement and expert children's reviews. The company aims to foster a love of reading by delivering carefully chosen books aligned with readers' interests and educational value.

Literati, a Texas-based education technology company that operates modern student book fairs and subscription services, has been acquired by Trustbridge Partners. The pre-revenue terms were not disclosed. Founded in 2016 by Jessica Ewing, Literati has become the second-largest school book fair provider in the United States since launching its fair division in 2022. The company reached nearly $40 million in revenue and serves 2.5 million students across 4,000 annual fairs. Literati joins Trustbridge's portfolio alongside Walker Books Group and Trustbridge Entertainment. The acquisition aims to scale Literati's technology-driven approach to book fairs, which combines expert curation with data science to deliver personalised book selections. Ewing will remain as CEO to lead the company's growth. Trustbridge Partners manages approximately $10 billion in assets under management.
