Global innovation Speaker Geoffrey Moore to keynote event for Pavilion. Charles Negron Jul 20, 2026 Disruption expert to help today's business leaders navigate the new artificial intelligence renaissance at tenth anniversary event. Sam Jacobs, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pavilion, started his private membership community for senior go-to-market executives a little over a decade ago. The hope was to bring together some of the industry's sharpest minds to break bread in Midtown Manhattan and address challenges and opportunities in their respective sectors across B2B tech and SaaS. Ten years later, Pavilion returns to the fire of its Hell's Kitchen roots, announcing Geoffrey Moore, author, speaker, management consultant, and expert on marketing disruptive high-tech products as their keynote speaker for their Global Travel Marketplace (GTM) 2026 summit, being held September 28-October 1 at the Glasshouse in New York City. He is best known for his seminal 1991 book "Crossing the Chasm", which has sold over a million copies, been translated into more than a dozen languages, and remains required reading in many business schools. GTM 2026 will bring 1,000 VP-and-above operators into one space for four days of strategy, practical application, and networking. Moore holds a bachelor's degree in American literature from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Washington. He began his career as an English professor at Olivet College before transitioning to the tech industry in sales, marketing, and training roles. He later worked with legendary marketer Regis McKenna and founded consulting firms including The Chasm Group, Chasm Institute, and TCG Advisors, where he now serves as chairman emeritus. "AI is the disruption chasm every operator is now trying to cross. The buyer is using AI to evaluate vendors before the seller is even in the room," said Moore. "The fundamentals still hold: you win by solving an urgent problem for a specific segment and earning trust before you scale. At GTM2026 I look forward to helping operators figure out where AI actually belongs in their plan." Moore is widely regarded as one of the most influential thinkers on high-tech go-to-market strategies and organizational responses to disruption. His work focuses on the Technology Adoption Life Cycle, explaining the "chasm" between visionary early adopters and pragmatic mainstream customers. Other notable books include "Inside the Tornado" (1995), "The Gorilla Game" (1998), "Zone to Win" (2015), and "The Infinite Staircase" (2021). He has advised major firms like Salesforce, Microsoft, Cisco, Adobe, and many startups as a venture partner and consultant. "It has never been a better time, or a harder time, to be a GTM operator at a major tech company," said Sam Jacobs, Founder and CEO of Pavilion. "We started in a room in New York with a handful of operators who needed each other. Ten years later, we are back in that city with 1,000 of them. You carry this job. We back you up." Philly tech leader and entrepreneur Bob Moore thinks leaning into partnerships can be the key to unlocking business success. That’s the theme of his new book, “Ecosystem-Led Growth: A Blueprint for Sales and Marketing Success Using the Power of Partnerships,” which is available from Wiley publishing starting today. “Seeing the ways in which partnerships and partner ecosystems are very often under leveraged and under utilized,” Moore told Technical.ly. “When in reality, they can be one of the most successful and prolific drivers of how a company grows.”
