WHY WE NEED YOU

Hydrow is looking for a Software Engineering Co-op to help our growing membership be healthier and happier.

This position is open to Northeastern University students only.

Depending on your strengths, interests and engineering roadmap, you may contribute to exiting projects building customer-facing web interfaces, contributing to core feature development on our Android-based hardware, exploring AI video processing use cases, contributing to our Cloud APIs or otherwise working within our software ecosystem. that will help to improve the experience for our committed user base.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

You will work closely with Hydrow software engineers to design, develop, and test software projects.
You will write full-stack software with Typescript and React.
You will join our team and participate in all Engineering meetings and ceremonies.

WHO YOU ARE

Intelligence - Learns quickly and demonstrates ability to quickly and proficiently understand, absorb, and synthesize new information. You have an understanding, or an interest in, the foundations of computer science theory including data structures, algorithms, and software design. You are proficient in an object-oriented programming language such as Java, Kotlin, Python, Node.js, C++, Go, or Javascript. You have strong communication skills and know when to ask questions
Enthusiasm - Exhibits passion and excitement over work. Has a can-do attitude. You have a strong, insatiable desire to learn and hone your craft. You are detail oriented and aren’t afraid to go really deep on an issue
Growth Mindset - You enjoy the process of getting better at what you do, and you seek out the feedback that improves your ability to learn from your experiences. You have some experience writing software in Java, Kotlin, Python, Node.js, or another language. You have some experience creating a web application and using HTML/CSS and JavaScript. You are familiar or interested in SQL and relational databases
