About the job
- A Master's or doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited Audiology program is required.
- A Certificate in Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech and Hearing Association is required.
- A New Jersey audiology license verified by the Board of Consumer Affairs is required and must be maintained in good standing.
- The candidate must meet licensure continuing education unit requirements.
- The candidate must be CPR certified or complete certification within six months of employment.
- The candidate must be computer proficient.
- Manage, administer, and continue development of a specialty area of audiology, such as Electronystagmography (ENG/VNG), BAHA, or cochlear implantation.
- Perform inpatient newborn hearing screening.
- Document evaluation and treatment results accurately and promptly according to department policy.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, physician assistants, and social workers in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Schedule appointments in the Audiology Service using the Epic/Cadence Appointment system.
- Participate in staff development and education activities, as well as unit and hospital committees and meetings.
- Accept related duties as assigned.
- At least one year of clinical experience is preferred.
- Bilingual ability in Spanish, Portuguese, or American Sign Language is helpful but not required.
