About the job
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience in dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living is preferred.
- Understanding of infection control procedures is required.
- Ability to multitask and manage stress is required.
- Competence in time management and organizational skills is required.
- Understanding and embracing of the assisted living philosophy is required.
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours, including peak service delivery days and times, is required.
- Written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are required.
- Follow all local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling.
- Maintain standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health.
- Prepare special dietary needs as directed.
- Adhere to posted menus and prepare food items using approved standardized recipes in a timely manner.
- Prepare food, plate dishes, and provide dining and table service to residents and guests in community dining rooms and designated areas.
- Handle all food in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards and comply with applicable federal, state, and local food-service regulations.
- Previous experience in dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living.
