Requirements
  • An Associate Degree is required.
  • Two years of prior Cath Lab experience performing both diagnostic and interventional procedures is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification through the American Heart Association are required.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification is required upon hire.
  • Basic computer knowledge is required.
  • The candidate must be able to take call and live within 30 minutes of the hospital, or make accommodations to be within 30 minutes when taking call.
Responsibilities
  • Provide care for patients having procedures in the Cath Lab by monitoring, scrubbing, and circulating.
  • Demonstrate understanding of invasive procedures, the equipment and supplies used for each procedure, and the indications for performing each procedure.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency in interpreting electrocardiograms and hemodynamic pressure monitoring.
