Lucid to open first three French sites in Q1 2027, targeting 16+ by year-end

Lucid will open its first three French retail and service locations in the first quarter of 2027. The electric vehicle maker plans to grow the network to more than 16 partner locations by the end of 2027. Each site will let customers try and order the Lucid Gravity SUV and the Lucid Air sedan. Emil Frey France is Lucid's partner for the rollout. Orders are expected to open in the first quarter of 2027. Customers can reserve now on Lucid's French website to get priority when ordering starts. The Gravity offers up to 739 kilometres of WLTP range, and the Air up to 960 kilometres.

Lucid Group draws $400M from Ayar DDTL, pushing total debt to $2.1B

Lucid Group drew $400 million from its Delayed Draw Term Loan facilities with Ayar Third Investment Company, an affiliate of the Public Investment Fund, on 6 October 2026. The electric vehicle manufacturer disclosed the transaction in a Form 8-K filing dated 9 October. Following the draw, Lucid's total outstanding principal under the DDTL stands at approximately $2.1 billion. The company retains around $400 million in available borrowing capacity under the existing facility. The transaction was executed under a pre-existing agreement with Ayar, requiring no new contracts. Chief Financial Officer Alexander De Bock authorised the filing. Key terms of the DDTL were previously disclosed in Form 8-K reports filed in August 2024, November 2025, and April 2026.

Lucid opens first company-owned body and paint center in Middle East.

Lucid opens first company-owned body and paint center in Middle East. Lucid has opened its first company-owned and operated body and paint repair center in the Middle East, in Riyadh, as the Saudi-backed EV maker builds out after-sales support. The facility "expands Lucid's aftersales network and strengthens support for customers in Saudi Arabia," the company said in a statement on Thursday. "Expanding our service capabilities in Saudi Arabia is an important step in delivering the quality and ownership experience our customers expect," said Billy Hayes, Lucid's Chief Customer Officer. "Our sales and service teams play a critical role in shaping the Lucid experience, and this facility reinforces our long-term commitment to customers in the Kingdom," Hayes added. Lucid's regional account on X, Lucid Motors Middle East, went further in a post describing the 2,600-square-meter site as the first Lucid body and paint center worldwide. The center offers vehicle body repair, aluminum body repair, calibration of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and diagnostics, according to the post. Lucid-trained technicians will work to the company's repair standards in dedicated body and paint environments, the statement said. The company did not disclose the investment involved or its staffing. The opening comes two months after CEO Silvio Napoli told analysts that Lucid had "under-invested in service" and "responded too slowly to quality issues." Larger than the Jeddah hub. At about 28,000 square feet, the Riyadh body shop is larger than the 23,000-square-foot studio and service center Lucid opened in Jeddah in August 2024. Outside the Middle East, Lucid shares body repair information with collision shops through its invitation-only Lucid Approved Body Repair Program. The statement said the center complements Lucid's studios and service centers in Riyadh and Jeddah and its mobile service offering. In Saudi Arabia, the locations page lists studios at I Mall in Riyadh, Jeddah Auto Mall and Shorofat Park in Al Khobar, the first two of which also offer service. It also lists service centers in Riyadh, including one at the North Industrial Complex, and mobile service hubs in Riyadh, Dammam, Al Khobar and Jeddah. Lucid opened its first regional studio at Riyadh's I Mall in October 2022, and added Al Khobar in December 2025 to complete a three-city Saudi network. Lucid had four studios and service centers in Saudi Arabia and one in the UAE at June 30, excluding temporary and satellite service centers, according to its quarterly filing. The UAE entry on the locations page is a single studio at Dubai's City Walk, opened in May 2024, and the page no longer lists the Abu Dhabi pop-up that opened in July 2025. Expansion promises. Faisal Sultan, Lucid's President of Middle East, said in July 2025 that two more GCC countries would go live in 2026, later saying smaller Gulf markets would probably follow an agency model. Lucid also planned "at least a further 10" locations in the region in 2026, including in Qatar, AGBI reported in February, citing the company's fourth-quarter statement. Lucid had not announced a new GCC market as of Thursday. In the UAE, Sultan acknowledged in October 2025 that sales "kind of slowed down" after a strong start. Lucid is moving its UAE business to an indirect sales model, two people familiar with the matter told EV in an August exclusive, a change the company has not announced. Government deal. Saudi Arabia generated $98.2 million of Lucid's revenue in the second quarter, 2.7 times the $35.9 million a year earlier, the filing shows. The Middle East accounted for 24.2% of second-quarter revenue of $405.3 million, making it Lucid's second-largest region after the United States. Most of that revenue comes from the Saudi government, which agreed in 2023 to buy up to 100,000 vehicles over ten years, a firm 50,000 plus an option on another 50,000. The agreement is with the Government of Saudi Arabia as represented by the Ministry of Finance, and the purchaser has sole discretion over the option, the filing shows. Net vehicle sales under the agreement reached SAR 361.5 million ($96.4 million) in the second quarter, roughly 98% of Saudi revenue by EV's calculation. In 2025, those sales totaled SAR 540.2 million ($144.1 million), about 89% of the $161.8 million Lucid earned in the Kingdom, according to its annual report. The government "committed to purchase more than 4,000 vehicles during 2026 and annually through 2032," then-Chief Financial Officer Taoufiq Boussaid said on the August 4 earnings call. The second-quarter purchases point to roughly 1,080 vehicles in that quarter alone, according to an EV estimate based on average revenue per vehicle, as Lucid does not break out deliveries by country. Receivables from the agreement made up 83.6% of Lucid's total accounts receivable at June 30, up from 68.0% at the end of 2025. In October 2025, Lucid partnered with PIF-backed Elm on government and corporate fleets in Saudi Arabia, covering reporting, technical inspection, maintenance and logistics. In July, Lucid's regional X account deleted a post that celebrated "5,000 vehicles in the Kingdom." Factory upgrade. Lucid has assembled vehicles from semi-knocked-down kits at its AMP-2 plant in King Abdullah Economic City since September 2023. The plant is being expanded for full vehicle production with a targeted capacity of 150,000 units a year. "We expect AMP-2 to be ready for production in early 2027, ready to run Midsize production in the second half of the year," Napoli said on the August call, referring to the platform that will underpin the Cosmos. Lucid's long-lived assets in Saudi Arabia rose to $899.1 million at June 30 from $658.6 million at the end of 2025. Lucid was the first global automaker to join the Saudi Made program, the company said in Thursday's statement. The body shop opening follows a separate after-sales push in Europe, where Lucid this week named a service-only partnerin eastern Germany starting in December. Lucid delivered 3,806 vehicles worldwide in the third quarter, down 6.7% from a year earlier, without a regional split. As of press time, Lucid shares were trading 0.5% lower in Thursday's pre-market at $3.87, after closing 6.49% lower on Wednesday at $3.89. Cláudio Afonso is the Founder and Editor of EV, an independent electric vehicle news publication owned by CARBA, the company he founded in early 2021. Between 2022 and 2024 he worked in European corporate communications at Nio, and he returned to lead EV in April 2024. He is based in Porto, Portugal.

Lucid rolls out Air UX 3.0 with Redesigned Controls and improved EV navigation.

Lucid rolls out Air UX 3.0 with Redesigned Controls and improved EV navigation. 2 minutes read Lucid Group has announced Air UX 3.0, a major software update for the Lucid Air that introduces a redesigned interface and changes to navigation, media, vehicle controls, user profiles and smartphone integration. The update, which is delivered as part of Software Version 2.11.0, is being rolled out over the air to eligible Lucid Air vehicles from September 29, 2026. The interface is based on the digital experience introduced with the Lucid Gravity. For model year 2025 and newer Lucid Air vehicles, Air UX 3.0 is available through the software update. Model year 2022, 2023 and some 2024 vehicles require an infotainment processor upgrade to support the new interface. In the US, the processor upgrade costs $950, including installation and excluding applicable taxes. Lucid said pricing for other markets will be announced separately. Owners can contact Lucid Customer Care to confirm eligibility and availability. "The Air UX 3.0 update reflects our commitment to the continuous improvement of the customer experience," said Marc Solsona Palomar, VP of Software at Lucid. "Lucid Air owners will enjoy more reliable and intuitive experiences as the Air update brings the latest advances to their vehicles." Redesigned Controls and Home Screen Air UX 3.0 introduces a redesigned Home experience on the Left Cockpit Panel, using swipeable cards to provide access to frequently used functions. The cards provide shortcuts for media, vehicle controls, calls, saved home and work destinations, and nearby charging stations. Temporary cards can also appear when certain functions are active, while swiping provides access to the corresponding full application on the Pilot Panel. A new Quick Controls menu can be accessed by swiping down from the top of the Pilot Panel. This provides access to frequently used settings and controls without requiring drivers to navigate through multiple menus. The update also changes how drivers move between navigation, media, vehicle controls and other applications across the Cockpit and Pilot Panel displays. Profile management has also been revised, with faster switching between profiles, additional controls for the Primary profile over linked keys and a simplified process for resetting the Guest profile. Lucid has added a PIN-protected process for exiting Guest profile, along with six-digit PIN authentication. Updated Navigation and EV Routing Air UX 3.0 adds an updated dual-screen navigation experience, including a Favorites function and Auto Dark Mode. EV routing has also been expanded. Drivers can set preferences for charging networks, charging-adapter compatibility and the minimum battery range they want to have remaining when reaching their destination. Expanded Apple CarPlay and Android Auto The update also improves the performance and reliability of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Both platforms can now occupy a larger area across the right side of the Cockpit Display, giving drivers more screen space for navigation, calls, messaging and media applications. Lucid supports both wireless and USB connections for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, providing drivers with additional options for connecting compatible smartphones. Air UX 3.0 is delivered through Software Version 2.11.0, with availability depending on vehicle model year and, for some earlier Air vehicles, the required infotainment hardware upgrade.

Lucid (LCID) stock: Q3 deliveries miss estimates as production falls 38%.

Lucid (LCID) stock: Q3 deliveries miss estimates as production falls 38%. Lucid (LCID) stock fell after Q3 deliveries missed estimates, with production down 38% as the EV maker cuts costs and leans on inventory. By Trader Edge October 6, 2026 3 Mins Read Tldr. * Lucid delivered 3,806 vehicles in Q3, missing analyst estimates and down about 7% year over year. * Production fell 38% to 2,954 units after Lucid cut a shift at its Arizona plant. * Lucid stock has dropped about 61% so far this year. * The company abandoned its original 2026 guidance of 26,000 vehicles, producing just 13,000 through Q3. * One analyst sees up to 90% upside, with earnings due November 9. Lucid (LCID) stock slipped in premarket trading Tuesday after the EV maker reported weaker than expected third-quarter deliveries. Shares were down about 0.2% to $4.16, continuing a rough year that has seen the stock fall roughly 61%. Lucid delivered 3,806 vehicles in the third quarter. That missed the average analyst estimate of 4,687 from Visible Alpha, though FactSet and Bloomberg numbers, based on a smaller analyst sample, were closer to the actual figure. Either way, deliveries fell about 7% from the same quarter last year. The bigger story is production. Lucid built just 2,954 vehicles in the quarter, down 38% from 4,774 in Q2. The company cut a second shift at its AMP-1 plant in Arizona as part of a cost-cutting plan targeting $1.4 billion in cash flow improvements this year. Selling from inventory. Lucid delivered more cars than it built. The gap of 852 vehicles came from existing inventory, a sign the company is working through unsold stock rather than ramping up output. Lucid said demand for its Gravity SUV "continued to regain momentum," though it gave no specific numbers to back that up. Make of that what you will. The delivery miss fits a pattern. At the start of the year, Lucid guided for about 26,000 vehicles produced in 2026. It scrapped that target mid-year. Through nine months, the company has built only 13,000 cars. Lucid's best production quarter remains Q4 2025, when it made 8,412 vehicles. Its best delivery quarter was also Q4 2025, at 5,345 cars. To hit Wall Street's current full-year delivery estimate of around 17,070 vehicles, Lucid would need to deliver roughly 6,200 cars in the fourth quarter. That would be a new company record by a wide margin. Using Bloomberg and FactSet numbers instead, Wall Street projects closer to 15,000 vehicles for the year, which would require about 5,000 deliveries in Q4. Still a stretch given quarterly deliveries haven't topped 4,000 all year. What could change the picture. Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Andres Sheppard points to several upcoming catalysts. Lucid reports earnings on November 9. It's also rolling out robotaxis through partnerships with Uber and Nuro. A new production facility is being built in Saudi Arabia. A midsize vehicle is planned for 2027 to sit alongside the Air sedan and Gravity SUV. Sheppard rates Lucid Hold with an $8 price target, implying about 90% upside from current levels. That's one analyst's view, not a consensus. Across Wall Street, the average price target for Lucid sits around $7. But only three of 12 analysts covering the stock, about 25%, rate it a Buy. The broader EV market context hasn't helped. Wall Street projected about 33,000 vehicle sales for Lucid in 2026 two years ago. That number has shrunk steadily as the U.S. EV market cooled, especially after the $7,500 federal EV tax credit expired in September 2025. Lucid has delivered 10,852 vehicles so far in 2026.
