Mavrx provides agritech imagery and analytics for farming. It collects data from piloted aircraft, satellites, and UAVs to produce ultra-high-resolution imagery and crop-and-soil analyses. Images and insights are delivered via web and mobile apps within 24 to 72 hours after a flight, with satellite tools later offered for free to grow its user base. Its assets were acquired by Taranis, combining UHR imagery with broader precision-agriculture services, and the goal is to help farmers increase yields and lower costs through data-driven decisions.

What believers are saying

  • Taranis still references Mavrx UHR imagery on its 2026-updated newsroom page.
  • Mavrx's aircraft-based imagery remains valuable for weed, disease, and nutrient detection.
  • The Mavrx acquisition expanded Taranis's U.S. footprint and acreage coverage immediately.

What critics are saying

  • Mavrx no longer operates independently; Taranis absorbed its sales and operations in 2018.
  • Mavrx.co only shows a generic 2026 signup page, signaling brand dormancy.
  • Any Mavrx talent or product edge depends entirely on Taranis's broader agricultural platform.

What makes Mavrx unique

  • Mavrx built 8 cm-per-pixel aerial imagery before Taranis bought it in 2018.
  • Taranis said Mavrx added 60 planes across 30 U.S. states.
  • Mavrx's UHR imagery gave field-level scouting detail satellites missed.
