About the company

Poshmark is a social marketplace for buying and selling fashion and home items, blending ecommerce with social features. Users list items for sale and buyers browse and purchase, with Poshmark taking a commission on each sale: a flat $2.95 fee for items under $15, or 20% for items $15 and up. The platform also now enables large brands to access its community through brand partnerships, expanding product availability and inviting brands to participate in social commerce. This model supports a circular economy by encouraging reuse and recycling of fashion items. The leadership and strategy focus on community engagement and growth within the competitive ecommerce space.

StockX Live expands into sports trading cards, adds seller & bidding features.

StockX Live expands into sports trading cards, adds seller & bidding features. Published: Oct 8 2026 Updated: Oct 8 2026 StockX is expanding its Live shopping platform into sports trading cards, adding NBA, NFL and MLB collectibles along with new features that allow buyers to follow sellers, get show reminders and place automatic max bids. Starting October 8, sellers can auction graded slabs, raw singles and sealed products, including card breaks, with a four-day launch event featuring prominent sports card sellers and $10,000 in giveaways running through October 11. StockX first announced plans to enter the live shopping market in June, joining competitors like Whatnot, Poshmark, TikTok Shop and eBay Live. The platform officially launched at the end of July with sneakers, apparel and vintage fashion and initially supported US buyers on iOS, but expanded to desktop and mobile browsers in September, just six weeks after launch. Earlier this week, the company introduced the ability for buyers to follow their favorite sellers, view upcoming scheduled shows directly from seller profiles and set reminders to receive notifications when those shows begin. StockX has also added automatic max bidding, allowing buyers to set the highest amount they're willing to pay for an item and have the system increase their bid only when someone else bids against them, without going over the maximum they entered. The expansion brings StockX Live into more direct competition with eBay and Whatnot in one of the most popular livestream selling categories. The company's Live division is led by VP Ryan Larson, who previously spent nearly three years at Whatnot in go-to-market and category expansion roles. StockX says native card-breaking tools are still in development, so sellers will initially have to manage breaks using their own methods, subject to the company's new Card Breaking Policy. The policy allows breaks where buyers purchase specific teams, players or other clearly defined slots, but prohibits random team or player assignments, wheels, dice, random number generators and other methods of determining what buyers receive by chance, even when those tools are operated through third-party services. StockX also bans chance-based bonuses, bounties and games tied to the outcome of a break, as well as selling spots in advance or carrying breaks over between shows. Sellers must disclose how cards will be distributed and provide an alternative card, sealed product or refund if no matching card is pulled for a buyer's slot. All breaks must take place entirely on camera, with the sealed product, seller's hands and opening of every pack visible throughout the process. Participation in card breaks is also limited to US buyers and sellers who are at least 18 years old, or the applicable age of majority if higher. The company does allow "Open Til You Hit" breaks, where sellers open packs until a qualifying card is found or a disclosed limit is reached, with requirements to clearly state the minimum and maximum number of packs and what the buyer receives if no qualifying card is pulled. Card-breaking practices have also faced increasing legal scrutiny, including multiple arbitration claims against Whatnot alleging some breaking and repacking activities on the platform amount to illegal gambling. The company has strongly denied those allegations and says it prohibits gambling and enforces its rules. Repacks are permitted too, but sellers can't simply assemble their own mystery packs and offer them for sale. Instead, repacks must come from independent, established businesses with at least six months of verifiable experience producing sealed repackaged trading card products, public product checklists and documented sourcing and sealing procedures. Sellers cannot know the specific contents in advance. Other live shopping platforms have also been tightening restrictions on repacks. eBay began limiting trading card repack sales to preapproved Live sellers in June, while Whatnot previously introduced approval requirements and additional safeguards for certain repack products, including audits and public checklists. Unlike eBay and Whatnot, which have introduced approval requirements for certain repack sellers and products, StockX leaves it to sellers to verify that repack manufacturers meet its requirements. It does not review or approve those manufacturers in advance, though it reserves the right to limit card-breaking privileges to preapproved sellers. StockX built its reputation around authentication and verification, particularly in sneakers, with products typically passing through a verification facility before being delivered to buyers. But Live purchases ship directly from sellers to buyers rather than automatically going through that process, with transactions instead covered by the StockX Buyer Promise. The company made a similar change when it launched StockX Listings in June, opening the marketplace to used sneakers, vintage apparel and other unique items that don't fit its traditional product catalog. Listings also uses direct-to-buyer shipping, though optional verification is available for eligible purchases. Liz Morton is founder and editor of Value Added Resource. How to crosslist from Mercari to Poshmark: A reseller's guide.

How to crosslist from Mercari to Poshmark: A reseller's guide. Published 2026-09-18 If you already sell on Mercari, bringing your active catalogue over to Poshmark is one of the most effective ways to increase sales. Poshmark operates as a social commerce platform with a large buyer base for fashion and lifestyle items, while Mercari functions as a straightforward resale app. Learning how to crosslist your items between both marketplaces lets you reach two distinct audiences without spending hours retyping every listing by hand. Understanding the differences: Mercari vs Poshmark. Mercari and Poshmark attract different buyer demographics and use distinct listing structures. Mercari caters to search-driven shoppers looking for clothing, electronics, home goods, and collectibles. Poshmark leans heavily into social commerce, where community sharing, brand followings, and curated party feeds drive secondhand fashion discovery. When you crosslist items between channels, you must account for each platform's listing requirements. Poshmark relies on structured brand mapping profiles and specific sizing conventions, whereas Mercari offers a simpler listing structure. Adapting your inventory to fit each platform ensures your items rank well in search results and convert into sales. Key capabilities for crosslisting success. Manually copying titles, descriptions, prices, and photos between platforms takes significant time. Modern crosslisting workflows streamline this process by automating how inventory details transition between marketplaces. * Dynamic size mapper: Translates footwear and apparel sizes into the correct target marketplace taxonomy. * Brand mapping profiles: Aligns listing details with approved platform brand directories. * Real-time sold delisting: Detects sales across connected channels to remove sold items automatically and prevent double sales. * Single-click crossposting: Sends prepared drafts straight to your target marketplace accounts. Setting up your desktop listing environment. To run your crosslisting workflow efficiently, you need a desktop or laptop computer running Google Chrome. Listing automation relies on browser extensions to communicate with your signed-in seller accounts, which mobile web browsers cannot support. While web dashboards let you review inventory on a phone, photographing, drafting, and crosslisting items requires a desktop browser setup. Make sure you remain signed in to your marketplace seller accounts in Chrome. Swiftlisted is building dedicated integration lanes for Mercari and Poshmark on its roadmap. Once these lanes ship, you will be able to crosslist, translate categories, and synchronise sold items seamlessly across both platforms alongside currently supported channels. Best practices for managing multi-channel inventory. Maintaining an organised central stockroom is essential when selling across multiple channels. Keep track of item states - whether an item is a draft, live, or sold - so you always know where your stock is listed. During photography, always capture clear, well-lit shots of size tags and brand labels. Clear photos help automated vision tools draft titles, descriptions, and categories accurately, making your review process fast and straightforward before hitting post. Common questions. * Can I crosslist from Mercari to Poshmark on a mobile phone? - No. Crosslisting automation requires a desktop or laptop computer running Google Chrome with the extension installed. Mobile browsers do not support extension automation, though you can view your stockroom dashboard on mobile. * Do I need existing seller accounts on both marketplaces? - Yes. Swiftlisted posts directly to your existing store accounts on connected marketplaces - it does not create new marketplace accounts for you. * How does sold detection prevent double sales? - When an item sells on one connected platform, background sold detection detects the purchase, updates your central inventory record, and delists the sold item across your other channels. * What do I need to start crosslisting with Swiftlisted? - You need a desktop or laptop running Google Chrome, the Swiftlisted Chrome extension, item photos, and active seller accounts on the marketplaces you sell on. List once, sell everywhere. Swiftlisted photographs, describes and crosslists your stock across every marketplace you sell on - then delists it everywhere when it sells.

Poshmark brings "Try Yourself On" to New York Fashion Week with a dry cleaner pop-up. Sep. 15, 2026 On September 12, Poshmark welcomed fashion tastemakers, editors, creators and cultural insiders to Poshmark Dry Cleaners, transforming a SoHo storefront into an unexpected fashion destination for New York Fashion Week. The immersive experience celebrated the launch of Poshmark's new Try Yourself On(TM) brand campaign and spotlighted the newly launched in-app Tastemaker curation featuring coveted pieces from the closets of Chloe Fineman, Courtney Grow, Colleen Allen, Jalil Johnson, Elissa Santisi and her daughter Francesca Keller, and Poshmark Chief Revenue Officer Elizabeth von der Goltz, who were also on-site to celebrate. Hosted by von der Goltz, the evening brought the world of Try Yourself On(TM) to life, reimagining the familiar neighborhood dry cleaner through the lens of Poshmark. In addition to the Tastemaker campaign curators, Ashley Avignone, Indre Rockefeller, Laura Kim, Fernando Garcia, Colleen Allen, Elissa Santisi, Elizabeth Kurpis, Johanna Ortiz, Nickelson Wooster, Sami Miro, and more explored racks of unexpected fashion finds, while Francesca Keller DJed throughout the evening. Before heading out, attendees selected a vintage piece of their own to take home, with shirting from Dior, Charvet and more among the finds waiting at the Poshmark Dry Cleaners. The evening marked the latest moment for Try Yourself On(TM), which launched September 8 as Poshmark's largest integrated campaign to date. Built around the idea that fashion can unlock unexpected versions of yourself, the campaign taps into the scale and constant discovery of Poshmark, where more than 700,000 new listings are added every day across millions of individual closets. Developed with creative agency nice&frank and directed by Léa Esmaili, Try Yourself On(TM) spans film, digital, social and Poshmark's largest out-of-home campaign to date, with placements across New York, Los Angeles and Toronto. The Tastemaker curation extends that spirit of discovery through personal closets and individual points of view, giving the Poshmark community a new way to discover coveted pieces through the people whose style they follow. The party was just the beginning. The activation invites New Yorkers to discover something unexpected, try it on and make it their own.

EXCLUSIVE: Poshmark wants you to 'Try Yourself On' for a change.

EXCLUSIVE: Poshmark wants you to 'Try Yourself On' for a change. The social commerce marketplace is sharpening its fashion image with its largest integrated campaign under chief revenue officer Elizabeth von der Goltz. September 8, 2026, 12:10am Whenever a new season rolls around, WWD Beauty Inc. all fancy becoming someone else. But with New York Fashion Week just days away, Poshmark is asking shoppers to "Try Yourself On" for a change. While paradoxical, according to the social commerce marketplace, the name of its largest integrated brand campaign winks at the sort of irreverent, low-stakes environment for sartorial self-expression it fosters online. Imagine an "Alice in Wonderland" dream sequence, falling down a rabbit hole into a universe of closets where each door opens up exciting possibilities. To make another classic childhood movie reference, a few stills in the "Try Yourself On" campaign recall Pixar's magical door conveyor lines from "Monsters, Inc." And Poshmark users only need to follow a pair of Prada's spring 2012 flame wedges to take them there, thanks to a series of long- and short-form films directed by Léa Esmaili combining live action, animation and CGI. You may also like. Developed in partnership with the Nice&Frank creative agency, the "Try Yourself On" campaign breaks Tuesday, marking a new chapter for Poshmark as it sharpens its fashion image under chief revenue officer Elizabeth von der Goltz. Since joining in January, the luxury retail veteran said she's been seeking the answer to one question: "How do we make the platform feel as exciting to shop as it has always been for the people who love it?" For von der Goltz, that means investing in out-of-the-box marketing initiatives like this, which highlight Poshmark's breadth of inventory with over 700,000 new listings added to the site every day. "Because we're re-commerce, your budget goes further, so you can experiment with your style more freely and more often than you could shopping only new," she explained. Von der Goltz added that what makes Poshmark "especially powerful" is its millions of registered sellers. "Every closet brings its own point-of-view, which means discovery can take you somewhere unexpected: a past-season piece you missed, something vintage, a hard-to-find designer item or simply something you didn't know you were looking for until you found it. That's really at the heart of 'Try Yourself On.'" Bringing the campaign to life, Poshmark has tapped an array of personalities across fashion, entertainment, photography and culture to partake in a content series for social media. They include Chloe Fineman, Colleen Allen, Jalil Johnson, Nicky Campbell, Tyler Joe, and even von der Goltz herself. "I love that the idea puts our community at the center. Our sellers bring their taste, their closets and these incredible pieces into the market; our buyers bring their own eye and give those pieces new life. 'Try Yourself On' celebrates that exchange." And to underscore it, the tastemakers have curated their own unique product assortments that will be accessible on Poshmark.com and through the Poshmark app. A highly visible tastemaker in her own right, von der Goltz said she challenged herself by sourcing pieces for her fall wardrobe exclusively on the platform as a way to hack the user experience. "It's been so much fun and it's completely changed the way I shop. I've always mixed things: new with vintage, polished with unexpected, womenswear with menswear, and Poshmark is almost made for that kind of wardrobe." Von der Goltz unearthed several gems like a rare Karl Lagerfeld for Chloé set from 1981 and a Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche safari jacket. "And most recently, in a very full-circle moment, I bought a men's Yves Saint Laurent tuxedo that was originally purchased at Bergdorf Goodman where I spent so much of my career, which I plan on wearing as a dress." For one day on Sunday right in the thick of NYFW, Poshmark will activate "Try Yourself On" by transforming Jeeves, a fourth-generation dry cleaner in SoHo, into an experiential retail extension of the campaign. Von der Goltz said: "There's something wonderfully aligned about this partnership. Jeeves has spent generations bringing people's favorite pieces back to life, and Poshmark is also about extending the life of fashion and helping people discover something special in what already exists." Visitors to the pop-up will have the opportunity to win designer items donated by von der Goltz and her cadre of tastemakers, including a black Vivienne Westwood top from Allen, plaid High Sport pants from Johnson, and von der Goltz's Lanvin animal-printed miniskirt by Alber Elbaz. "Alber was someone I loved and admired deeply and this skirt represents that for me," she said. "I've loved owning it, but I also love the idea that instead of continuing to sit in my closet, it can become someone else's great find and start a completely new chapter with them." With her new chapter, Von der Goltz is homing in on inclusivity, starting with the "Try Yourself On" campaign and the dry cleaner concept. "Fashion can sometimes feel like something you're invited to watch from the outside," she concluded, "but we wanted to create something fun that anyone who loves it can walk into, participate in, and leave with a little piece of Poshmark." eBay loses longtime seller & consignment partner Linda's Stuff to Poshmark.

eBay loses longtime seller & consignment partner Linda's Stuff to Poshmark. Published: Aug 11 2026 Updated: Aug 11 2026 eBay is losing longtime seller and consignment partner Linda's Stuff as Poshmark acquires its dedicated operational facilities to revamp its consignment offering, while the business moves its selling and live shopping operations to a new home on the competing marketplace. Poshmark announced the news in a company blog post last week, saying it is sunsetting its current consignment program in favor of a "consignment as a service" model which will leverage Linda's Stuff's operational infrastructure. Today, Value Added Resource is sunsetting its current consignment program as Value Added Resource transition to a far more robust, purpose-built 'consignment as a service' model. Capturing the full potential of high-value fashion requires specialized physical infrastructure - including expert authentication, white-glove intake, high-security handling, and dedicated fulfillment service levels that go beyond a digital-only framework. To power this next phase of its journey, Poshmark has acquired the dedicated operational facilities of Linda's Stuff. As their legacy inventory and consignments are systematically wound down, these specialized facilities will be fully repurposed to service Poshmark sellers. By unlocking high-end closets that would otherwise remain idle, this expanded infrastructure will attract qualified luxury buyers to the platform - driving increased traffic and sales to listings across the entire community. Poshmark says the new consignment program will be phased in as facility capacity allows, with no further details yet about when it will launch, what items will be eligible, what fees will apply or exactly how the service will work. It's a significant change in direction from the Consignment Network Poshmark first announced at PoshFest 2024. That program was built around "leveraging the strength of our community," recruiting experienced Poshmark sellers as Closet Partners to receive inventory from other users and handle researching, photographing, pricing, listing, storing and shipping the items themselves. At the time, I noted it was an interesting contrast to eBay's approach, which provided promotion and sales benefits to just one hand-picked consignment partner. Now Poshmark is sunsetting that community-powered model and moving to centralized physical infrastructure acquired from the very same company that powered eBay Consignment. Linda Lightman and Linda's Stuff have deep roots on eBay, selling on the marketplace for over 25 years and growing into one of the platform's largest fashion sellers. The Linda's Stuff eBay store is still active for now as legacy inventory and consignments are wound down, with over 100,000 items still listed at time of publication. Linda's Stuff became even more closely tied to eBay in 2023 when it was tapped to be the exclusive partner for eBay's new US luxury handbag consignment offering. Rather than simply connecting consumers with a network of sellers, eBay routed the entire process through Linda's Stuff, which handled receiving, authenticating, photographing, pricing and listing items on behalf of consignors. eBay also repeatedly funded steep discounts on Linda's Stuff inventory throughout the partnership, including a 25% promotion in 2023 - another example of the kind of seller-specific subsidies drawing renewed scrutiny amid broader concerns about eBay's SG&A spending. The partnership was then expanded into luxury fashion in 2024, further cementing Linda's Stuff as an important part of eBay's strategy for attracting high-value fashion buyers and sellers. But eBay Consignment appears to have now quietly come to an end in the US. The Linda's Stuff store remains active while existing inventory is wound down, but the eBay Consignment landing page has been deleted with no notice or announcement from eBay about the closure of the program or whether another partner will take over. It's not the first time eBay has suddenly found itself without a Consignment partner. eBay expanded Consignment to the UK in 2024 with Luxe Collective as the sole provider for luxury handbag consignment services, but Luxe Collective announced it was shutting down less than a year later after being unable to recover from a high-value theft. The Luxe Collective eBay store has since been shut down and eBay's UK Consignment page has also been deleted, confirming the end of that program as well. That now leaves eBay Consignment without a partner in either the US or UK. Linda's Stuff has also been a featured seller on eBay Live, regularly hosting luxury fashion livestreams as recently as July while eBay continues trying to grow live shopping into a more significant part of its business. But Linda's Stuff has now announced those Lives are moving to Poshmark too. In an Instagram post, Linda's Stuff told followers: BIG NEWS!!! | Value Added Resource has officially MOVED to POSHMARK! | New home, same Linda's Stuff you know and love. Come find Value Added Resource on Poshmark for the same incredible designer clothes, handbags, accessories & AMAZING deals you've been shopping with Value Added Resource! | Shop its Poshmark closet | Join its LIVE shows | Same show times | Same incredible finds & deals | A brand-new place to shop with Value Added Resource! That makes the move a double whammy for eBay, losing both its US Consignment partner and a regular eBay Live seller to a competing marketplace. The move comes as Poshmark has been increasingly courting brands, retailers and larger enterprise sellers, prompting questions about where that leaves the platform's traditional sellers. Those concerns intensified after Poshmark began running employee-hosted Posh Shows for major brand partners, putting Poshmark in the position of operating the platform while also helping selected inventory compete for buyers on it. Now Poshmark is taking another step toward directly managing supply by acquiring physical infrastructure for authentication, intake, handling and fulfillment. Poshmark insists the new service will benefit the broader marketplace, saying high-end consignment will attract qualified luxury buyers and drive "increased traffic and sales to listings across the entire community." One seller reacting to the announcement on Reddit summed up the concern: So another way they are competing with their customers aka Value Added Resource sellers. Fantastic. Other commenters questioned how the new model will work and raised similar concerns about Poshmark competing directly with its own sellers. Poshmark says the new service will bring more luxury buyers and sales to the entire community, but whether sellers actually see those benefits may depend on how Poshmark chooses to surface and promote that consignment inventory. Value Added Resource'll be watching closely as more details of the new Consignment program are revealed. What do you think? Let Value Added Resource know in the comments below!
