About the company

Endra automates mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering design for construction. It turns architects’ BIM models into code-compliant, clash-free 3D layouts, schedules, and documentation that integrate with tools like Autodesk Revit. The platform covers the full MEP workflow—system layout, modeling, documentation, and compliance—rather than just niche drafting, helping design firms reduce repetitive work and shorten project turnaround times. Endra differentiates itself by targeting end-to-end MEP automation and integration with common design tools, not just single drafting tasks. Its goal is to streamline MEP design workflows, lowering time and effort required to produce accurate, compliant designs.

What believers are saying

  • September 2026 launch and Planlabs acquisition expanded Endra into electrical and mechanical engineering.
  • The $50 million Series A from Andreessen Horowitz funds U.S., U.K., and London expansion.
  • Engineer shortages and data-center demand drive consultancies toward faster MEP automation now.

What critics are saying

  • Autodesk, Bentley, and Trimble already own engineering workflows and distribution.
  • Endra's 2027 plumbing module and mechanical integration remain unfinished after the September 2026 launch.
  • One code-compliance failure on a data center or hospital can destroy trust and contracts.

What makes Endra unique

  • Endra unifies electrical, mechanical, and plumbing design inside one Revit-connected workflow.
  • September 16, 2026 Power Studio automates code-compliant electrical designs for 500,000-square-foot buildings.
  • Endra serves AtkinsRéalis, Ramboll, Buro Happold, Hoare Lea, AFRY, Tetra Tech, and Rejlers.

Endra launches Power Studio for electrical engineering and acquires Planlabs following $50M Series A

Endra has launched Power Studio, an agentic platform for electrical engineering, and acquired Swiss AI company Planlabs to expand into mechanical engineering. Power Studio consolidates electrical design, calculations, simulation and documentation into one system, with AI agents handling delegated tasks whilst engineers retain oversight. The platform can complete electrical design for a 500,000-square-foot commercial building in under a day, compared with approximately two months using traditional methods. It includes features for applying engineering standards, AI agents for routing and placement, and a physics engine for code compliance checking. The Planlabs acquisition extends Endra's capabilities into mechanical engineering. Founded in Switzerland in 2024, Planlabs' five-person team will join Endra. The company plans to introduce a plumbing module in 2027. The developments follow a $50 million Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz.

Endra opens US and UK offices with $50M to solve MEP engineering bottleneck in construction

Stockholm-based AI company Endra has expanded into the US and UK, opening offices in New York, San Francisco, and London. The expansion follows a $50 million Series A round led by Andreessen Horowitz earlier this year. Endra's platform automates MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) engineering design for buildings. The system integrates with BIM tools like Revit and can complete electrical designs for large commercial buildings in under a day—work that traditionally takes two months. The company targets engineering consultancies facing capacity constraints and engineer shortages as demand grows for data centres and net-zero infrastructure. Co-founder Anton Juric is leading US market expansion, whilst the London office serves European and Middle Eastern customers. Endra plans to grow to 100 employees globally over the next 12 months and will unveil its electrical module at an event in Las Vegas this September.
