About the job
- Bring patience and a willingness to learn; RBT certification is preferred but not required, and the employer will support certification.
- Keep nails no longer than ¼ inch past the fingertip.
- Be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and sit on the floor for extended periods.
- Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds to ensure child safety.
- Continuously observe and monitor a child, respond immediately to their needs, and visually track and record behavior and responses in real time for accurate data collection.
- Provide one-on-one applied behavior analysis therapy in a center-based setting.
- Teach communication, play, daily living, and social skills.
- Follow individualized treatment plans created by a supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
- Use evidence-based strategies to help children learn and grow.
- Track progress.
- Registered Behavior Technician certification is preferred, but not required.
