Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering is required.
- An advanced certification in Project Management is required.
- Deep understanding of Hygienic Design for food or petfood manufacturing and familiarity with ISO 14001 environmental sustainability standards are required.
- At least 7 years of engineering management experience in the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries is required.
- A proven track record of managing multi-million euro CAPEX budgets from conceptual design through final commissioning is required.
- Direct experience with Greenfield projects, including installation of specialized equipment such as mixers, extruders, dryers, and high-speed packaging systems, is required.
- Expertise in local building codes, safety regulations including ATEX and CE, and hygiene standards including HACCP is required.
- Knowledge of Project Management, Lean manufacturing, Vertical Startups, process engineering, and hygienic design for food manufacturing is required.
- Experience with DMS DDS 2, CAPEX Management, Equipment Commissioning, Process Engineering Standards, PFMEA, Engineering Work Processes, Automation and Technology Roadmaps, and Change Management is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the site’s capital investment strategy and technical innovation projects to support the long-term growth of the factory.
- Lead the CAPEX and engineering project pipeline, including new equipment introduction, process development, and technical improvements.
- Plan and execute engineering projects from conceptual design through basic and detailed design, incorporating inputs from functions and clients.
- Define, align with production, plan, and follow detailed trial plans, commissioning, qualification, and validation through project handover.
- Build the right team culture by empowering the team, using root cause analysis tools, identifying losses, and strengthening lessons-learned practices.
- Manage the site’s master plan, including infrastructure, utility systems, and new production lines.
- Ensure Vertical Startups for new equipment, achieving project targets such as OEE in the shortest possible time.
